  • Used to be a good game. Full of ads now

Trainstation2, was once a fantastic source of entertainment. Its gameplay mechanics were engaging, and I appreciated the creativity that went into its design. It kept me hooked for hours, providing a great way to unwind.

However, the recent inundation of ads has been a major downside. What was once a seamless gaming experience has now become a constant interruption. It disrupts the flow of the game, making it frustrating to enjoy. There’s a fine line between monetization and gameplay, and unfortunately, this game has crossed it.

Dear Hogan Heroes , well, the ads can be bothersome at times, especially if an issue occurs during the process. Unfortunately, in such case, we're unable to detect it right away and need to report it further to get it fixed. Rest assured that all reports are forwarded to the ad providers and hopefully, they will take remedial action. - Alz, CM
  • Too many ads!!!

Love the game, but it’s putting out too many ads. You used to be able to move around the game without having to watch an ad just did your ads for rewards and challenges now there’s no videos available for a reward but yet you have the video available to move around the game, disappointing .

Hello HBH1957 , we understand that the issues with the ads might disturb your gaming experience with Train Station 2 and we are sincerely sorry for that. We would like to advise you to kill all running apps in the background using the task manager before watching any ad to avoid the obstacles, this usually helps! :) - Alz, CM
  • Too many ads

Far too many ads that interrupt game play and make this experience no fun. Which is too bad because this game was great over the last year. Since the forced ads started, it has taken away from the experience which unfortunately has led me to consider deleting the game. This used to be fun for my son and I to play, but he doesn’t like it when we have to close the game each time an ad starts.

  • Cynical Freemium Game

This game relies on repetitive click bait, some of which is unethical in that the ads offer ‘Real money to be won’, whilst other ads break GDPR in constantly (several times a day) requesting your data. Under GDPR you should have a ‘forget-me’ option that this game doesn’t have. Some of the purchases available to be able to advance are eye-wateringly expensive. It’s an utter shame because the game play is reasonable. Perhaps, although I’m sure it would upset your commercial model, you should consider charging an in-expensive price without all the marketing nonsense your click bait can take 10 or more minutes to get passed every day. Shame! Post Review Note: It’s a pity the reply only attempted to address one issue and not the rest. Game now un-installed due to apathy and lack of interest by the developer team.

Hello Ogri_Biker , we are sorry to hear about your negative experience with the ads. In case of an issue, we would like to recommend you to kill all running apps in the background using the task manager before watching any ad to avoid the obstacles - many players agreed that this did the trick! :) Have a nice day! - Andy, CM
  • Too many ads

The game used to be good with the option to view ads for additional rewards. Now it’s changed to showing you an ad whenever you try to do anything. I win’s be hanging around if this continues.

  • Needy app

Just logged back on after not playing for ages and I get bombarded with ads and asked to review. Not impressed with such needy app that feels like it needs to throw everything at you rather than just letting you play.

Hello Al……… , we're sorry to hear about your negative experience with the ad features. All ads are operated by the ad providers and unfortunately, all issues must be forwarded to them in order to get fixed. Although we understand why this may be frustrating, we sincerely hope it won't affect your joy from the game! - Ruth, CM
  • Forced ads

The recent UI update was bad, too many bugs, and even the bits that worked feel like a backwards step. Now we get forced ads. Never had a problem with the ads in this game, they were always optional and always gave a reward - either 2x something or speeding something up, it was a win-win. Now we get ads at random without prompting and without reward, interrupting the game. The only way to remove them? Pay real money. Very obvious cash grab, clearly not making enough from the people who already spend money on this game so they target people with this ransom. A great shame because this is an enjoyable game, being ruined by the developer. Edit: totally nonsense copy paste response from the developer. I’m not having issues with the ads themselves, just the fact that the developer has added forced ads to a game that didn’t need them. I already watch dozens of ads every day but get rewarded for doing so, why should I be forced to watch more ads for zero reward?
Edit 2: “All ads are optional” - really??? What about the Forced ads? Do you consider those to be optional because there’s the option to remove them by paying?

  • Forced ads forced me away

The developers have added forced ads which now pop up almost every time you switch regions (Which is constant in this game). You can disable this by making a purchase which is absolutely ridiculous. This is a money grab pure and simple although they say it’s to grow the game. I’ve played for almost 2 years and the ability to watch ads to advance gameplay was great but now the game is too frustrating because of this. I had no issue watching on average 10 ads a day to advance gameplay and build resources so I don’t see now how the addition of forced ads is needed to develop the game. I have no issue with a developer making money off the game but forced ads immediately make the game frustrating and quite frankly I no longer want to open the app. For what it’s worth, I’m level 187 so this is not coming from a newbie. Sorry guys but until the forced ads are gone you are losing the revenue from the ads I chose to watch from this player. On a final note, I also found it annoying that I have to create an account to email the developers as their support feature will not let you contact them otherwise.

  • EDITED TO 1 star spent real money to get rid of forced ads they’re still there of course

This was a 5 star and I will probably keep playing it is slow but who is in a rush? I found a fun union and there is new adds that have been great this past year HOWEVER please please please bring the original layout back I mean moving it around is stupid especially where you now have to scroll along the bottom to find anything you want to send a train too this was great together on one page I know you won’t as any of these game developers NEVER listen to the player input or revert back to when it was good I know you have lost players from this update and it made no sense to me why it would be changed after being so good for so long from being over a five star now to a 3 is very disappointing and union members are leaving just read comments on your Facebook page to see how unhappy we all are Don’t bother replying with a generic answer just get off and do the right thing and maybe I’ll edit to a 5 again. It’s sad that’s what it is

  • Frustratingly Poor Update

This game is now virtually unplayable and no longer fun. This update looks like basic beta in comparison to the previous version. Functionality is clunky. Options and movement from different screens have become difficult. Jobs List looks awful. Layout is confusing everywhere. Finding info on dispatched trains is less than b4. Looking for required resources is much more difficult. Very poorly designed update. I cannot believe you guys were excited about this update. If you need some advise, it’s simple. Allow us to be able to switch back to the previous version at the very least please. Who did you get to advise you that this was ok? They need to be sacked.

Graphics changes are terrible and not required. Just an adjustment of where things were situated was all that was required. Also gradual changes would have been much better

You can’t even view what combination of product you need when the production line is full for Pete’s sake. Who are the testers. Geezus!
