  • Works well on my 2 gate swing gate

    I have a 2 gate swing gate that with an accessory module plugged into my USAutomatic Patriot 2 system motherboard. Initial setup requires WiFi. After app is set up it works reliably over iPhone or iPad Verizon LTE internet signal. My home Wi-Fi is satellite HughesNet with their signal amplifier. It reaches from inside home to 700 ft to gate motherboard unobstructed. About once a month the app goes offline. Sometimes it resets itself. Sometimes I gotta go to the gate, unplug replug the module to reboot and it’s online again. I’ve used the app to open for deliveries from home and 100’s of miles away.
    It’s the only system like this I’ve found for my gate without spending thousands of $. It’s not perfect but pretty darn close. Have used for just about a year.

  • Awful

    The company refuses to respond to my multiple requests for help. The product is garbage as is the company apparently. It is not intuitive and dos not, as it claims to work with Alexa or Siri. You can follow the directions for the link setup all day, and it does not work. Otherwise, so far it opens and closes as it’s supposed to sometimes. The history does not work either. I wanted it for a record of my gate being open and closed. It is completely inaccurate. It sends me messages all day that my gate is open when it is NOT open

  • Support will do nothing.

    I have the Nexx garage door opener and several of the Nexx plugs. Used to be happy but now support will not even assist on an issue. The Nexx Plugs will not update to the latest firmware. In their current state, they will not follow the schedule regularly. Random scheduled events are skipped. I have tried all the known resolutions yet firmware updates failed every time.

    I do not recommend this product any further. Stay away. Return any items asap before this company fails completely like their firmware updates.

  • Buggy and not reliable

    I’ve been using Nexx products for several years and they have been consistently buggy and unreliable. I had to just remove a device from the app because it stopped working and now it can’t seem to register the status of it and some update removed some of the features that still exists on other devices like scheduling etc. This product and tech is going backwards. Some products are buggy to start and get better. Nexx seems to be doing the opposite. Don’t recommend. I would stop using if I didn’t already have 4 decides invested.

  • Security risk!

    April 2023:
    “ A handful of bugs in Nexx's smart home devices can be exploited by crooks to, among other things, open doors, power off appliances, and disable alarms. More than 40,000 of these gadgets in residential and commercial properties are said to be vulnerable after the manufacturer failed to act.
    After Nexx reportedly ignored attempts over three months by Sam Sabetan, who discovered the vulnerabilities, and the US government's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to help fix the flaws, both Sabetan and Uncle Sam have gone public with the details so users can minimize their risk.
    Or better yet, as Sabetan suggests, "immediately unplug all Nexx devices."
    The Register tried to contact Nexx for this story, and the manufacturer didn't respond to our requests, either.”

  • Horrible App

    Had this for about 3 years. Had to turn off ‘Just Drive’ (geo fencing) feature. Could not trust it. Would find my garage open in the morning and I hadn’t gone anywhere.
    The display doesn’t work. It indicates the door is closed when actually it’s open. Activity days last opened Oct 2020 when I opened it today. Can’t trust to open remotely since I can’t tell if it worked. Sometimes have to push the button three or four times to get the door to open or shut.
    Luckily only need it the few times I have a loaner car.
    Going to look for another option.

  • Nexx Alarm 100

    I have had nothing but trouble with this control module. I just reset it up and once again it’s saying that it’s off-line and grayed out. I’ve reached out to customer service via email and they won’t even address my concerns! I’m going to do the set up one last time and if it doesn’t work, I’m going to remove the app from my phone and disconnect the unit from the Honeywell control panel. It has been far too much of a pain in the 🍑 to put up with this nonsense much longer.

  • Hey Nexx support!!!

    Do you even read the reviews??? The app works so poorly that it is barely usable! The Just Drive component has been unchanged and unimproved in beta for at least 3 years. The iPhone battery usage is at 62% while all other apps combined are less than 62% with the average around 3%. How about making a decision to either improve the app of get out of the business all together!

  • Terrible App and Product… Don’t Buy

    My review is for the “smart” alarm, which in paper looks good but in practice works terrible. My system works fine for a couple of days, then disconnects, and I have to restart the system, again and again and again. This is unacceptable even more in a SECURITY system, and I am pretty sure the issue comes from the cloud servers at Nexx.

  • Works great - needs CarPlay support

    I’m surprised to see all the negative reviews. I’ve had two of the NXG-200 controllers on my industrial garage door openers for the past year. Setup was really simple and they always work. The only thing really missing is Apple CarPlay support so I can open and close the doors without fishing my phone out.
