Strategic and fun but grindy
F2P/casual friendly - 0/1*
Story - 1/1
Graphics - 1/1
Fun - 1/1
Overall - 4/5
Playtime - 5 hours 21 minutes
Langrisser is a pretty fun game with strategic battles. These depend on the type and rarity of heroes, equipped gear, battle tactics including class matchups, and so on. While the battles themselves are at times challenging, they are non-repetitive and largely depend on how you play your units.
The story is legitimate; within 5 hours I made it up to 8 chapters while taking the time to fight in the arena, do some of the time trials and work towards ongoing events. The game does not get boring at all; as the story progresses and newer heroes and terrains get introduced, it’s get more and more challenging.
The game is slightly generous in terms of crystals and tickets that you get, which you primarily spend to summon rarer characters. These however are expensive and it takes a lot of time and effort to get, which can get taxing for a F2P or casual player. Costumes and accessory items are near impossible to get for an F2P player, which otherwise would have been fun.
The game has a ton of modes to try and battles that require some understanding of your heroes and skills. Overall, a fun game that is P2W unless you are ready to spend hours farming and grinding in-game.
Not balanced. boring
Crashing
An okay game
I do like to pay for packs to support a game unfortunately the drop rates on this game is the same as every other game over priced for what they are and you still will just get the bad units regardless
The difficulty in the game is usually refreshing having to think on how to make a play however the spikes in difficulty is honestly the worst I’ve ever seen in any mobile game making them game not that fun to play
I’d say download the game to play if you really have nothing else to play other than that just avoid it
Great addictive game with little minuses
Unable to launch after latest update.
Unable to find any help anywhere. Very disappointed. It’s a great game but the updates are so disruptive. And now I can’t even play it anymore and my guys are level 60.
Fire Emblem, step aside.
Promotional schtick aside, I don’t think it should be up to the player exclusively to get the word out. By no means is it pay-to-win. You will pay to keep a good game up. And why not? You have great graphics, scores of DLC, a decent story, and heaps of things to do to keep you busy. You will not regret it.
Now if these guys brought over the standalone experience of the first few titles, they’d rocket 🚀 straight for the moon.
Free to play(ers) rejoice!
Incredibly deep/engaging game mechanics tested through decades of the game’s history.
Can absolutely progress without ever spending a penny.
So many classes and characters to use tactically, even grunts can have their place!
