Great Game but Gatcha elements

I’ve been playing this game since it came out in the US. However it is a grinding game, it’s taken me a long time to get to 180k in power on my hero card. There were some bugs at first but most have been patched, however I can seem to get my orange tickets and whatever else I get from the patch updates. I see my burgers and everything else but not the tickets, special chest, bags I get from Langrisser day. I’ve deleted and reinstalled my game but they still don’t show up. That’s my only problem with this game. I also think we should be able to consolidate accounts. I have two accounts and it’s pretty hectic, there are also a lot of users that don’t play anymore and should get deleted, only after not playing for a year. Those players that deleted their items, characters, shards, etc should be put back into the gatcha system for currently active players. Great job to the makers of the game, this mobile game is worth it. Also you don’t need to be a whale to play.

Deceitful practices

They tell us Ares|Maiya banner has a guarantee to give us one of them for the first SSR unit we summon, and then they do update around 5pm server time and secretly removed that even though ppl already summoned due to that guaranteed focus. Then they tell us all three things: it was a mistake, it was never there, they will update in the future and give us enough to do 5 single summons... so was it an error for which people paid money due to guaranteed SSR unit they didn’t receive, or were we all blind and it was never there (even though it was but they threw an update in the afternoon without telling us of the “correction”), or will they update the description in the future??!! Which is it?! You can’t tell us it wasn’t there before even tho it was and we have proof and then you update it and only tell use about the other bugs you needed a to fix like sending us a bunch of descriptions of skills and talents in Mandarin(?). People summoned due to that wording and language. You can’t just say veterans should know better. We can’t know you intentions; only that you screwed us and don’t give a crap about us. You have to give us either Ares or Maiya or let us choose one of the two for first SSR summon from a supposedly focus banner and not just tell us we should know better (which was reply from their staff).

Strategic and fun but grindy

Gameplay - 1/1

F2P/casual friendly - 0/1*

Story - 1/1

Graphics - 1/1

Fun - 1/1

Overall - 4/5

Playtime - 5 hours 21 minutes

Langrisser is a pretty fun game with strategic battles. These depend on the type and rarity of heroes, equipped gear, battle tactics including class matchups, and so on. While the battles themselves are at times challenging, they are non-repetitive and largely depend on how you play your units.

The story is legitimate; within 5 hours I made it up to 8 chapters while taking the time to fight in the arena, do some of the time trials and work towards ongoing events. The game does not get boring at all; as the story progresses and newer heroes and terrains get introduced, it’s get more and more challenging.

The game is slightly generous in terms of crystals and tickets that you get, which you primarily spend to summon rarer characters. These however are expensive and it takes a lot of time and effort to get, which can get taxing for a F2P or casual player. Costumes and accessory items are near impossible to get for an F2P player, which otherwise would have been fun.

The game has a ton of modes to try and battles that require some understanding of your heroes and skills. Overall, a fun game that is P2W unless you are ready to spend hours farming and grinding in-game.

Not balanced. boring

Summon rates are way too low making the content unplayable. Gets super boring right away since you’ll get stuck with no ways to summon new units. They are way too stingy with currency and summon tickets. Boring game waste of time don’t bother downloading. Better gacha games are out right now.

Crashing

The game was working perfectly fine as I got back into the game a few weeks ago because of the YYH banner. But as of recent my game has been crashing nonstop and it’s hard to even login at times. Please help fix the almost instantaneous crashing

An okay game

Game is riddled with level caps blocking you from playing making you have to grind up levels and seriously having to grind cause it doesn’t give great experience... for anything literally anything leaving each mission feeing like a waste of time

I do like to pay for packs to support a game unfortunately the drop rates on this game is the same as every other game over priced for what they are and you still will just get the bad units regardless

The difficulty in the game is usually refreshing having to think on how to make a play however the spikes in difficulty is honestly the worst I’ve ever seen in any mobile game making them game not that fun to play

I’d say download the game to play if you really have nothing else to play other than that just avoid it

Great addictive game with little minuses

One of the best game I played on a mobile platform. Great stories, great game mechanics, many hero choices, simple and beautiful graphics, this game is really well refined. Small glitches for older phones will slow down the game and sometimes the game will crash and close for no apparent reasons. No game is perfect but this one is close to be.

Unable to launch after latest update.

Been trying to launch langrisser on my iPhone for over a week but keeps getting the same error. The updatw server is undergoing maintenance please try again. This has been going for a week now.

Unable to find any help anywhere. Very disappointed. It’s a great game but the updates are so disruptive. And now I can’t even play it anymore and my guys are level 60.

Fire Emblem, step aside.

I usually don’t review games this quickly, but looking to fill the huge void when Square Enix took out a good one, I found this. They had to. The money wasn’t there. The franchise was too rare. Well, so is this one. Still, if you’re up for a tactical experience that isn’t Nintendo, or you just want a good daily grind, this should be your go-to. Please help these guys hand the big players some decent competition and find a deal that works for you. I did and snagged an archer for a buck.

Promotional schtick aside, I don’t think it should be up to the player exclusively to get the word out. By no means is it pay-to-win. You will pay to keep a good game up. And why not? You have great graphics, scores of DLC, a decent story, and heaps of things to do to keep you busy. You will not regret it.

Now if these guys brought over the standalone experience of the first few titles, they’d rocket 🚀 straight for the moon.

Free to play(ers) rejoice!

Giving this game 5/5 stars.

Incredibly deep/engaging game mechanics tested through decades of the game’s history.

Can absolutely progress without ever spending a penny.

So many classes and characters to use tactically, even grunts can have their place!
