Reviews of San Diego Zoo

  • Good but……

Good features but, walking directions need to include sky tram, and kangaroo bus options. Listings for wildlife need to have common names for easy to find, it is not. If animal is searched and is not at the zoo, platypus, indicate that it’s not at zoo and just not under another name. On walking routes buildings should be named so you’re not just guessing on which way to start walking. When creating an itinerary for the day please suggest a route that goes from one animal/event to the next, it felt like I was doing something wrong. You could also have multiple suggested routes that would be a one day or two day visit.
  • Learning interesting things about the San Diego Zoo

Our recent visit to the San Diego zoo was pretty nice. There was a few things that happened that almost made it not pleasant. But one of the supervisors named Lisa came over to explain everything to us made us feel very welcome and wanted to return again. Now we are season passholders so we’ll be able to enjoy the nighttime Zoo coming up. Super excited.. keep up the good work.
  • App good but directions stink

App is decent but the planner and map feature isn’t the best. Would be great if the “plan your visit” has an option to optimize for distance eg if I said I wanted to see the gorillas, eagles, hippos and red pandas, then it remapped them in the best walking path instead of just back and forth across the park in the order I listed them. Also, the GPS and cel service in the zoo stinks, making the App’s nav feature really buggy. With a few small (and really inexpensive!) 5g boosters, maps and directions would be a lot better.
