Pretty good, but some weak spots
Overall, the app is pretty decent! My gripes with it are fairly minor, there are just several of them that led to my 3 star review. Primary frustrations are relating to uploading photos (that whole experience is majorly lacking in UX awareness) and the new rewards system. It’s so difficult to figure out what my kids have redeemed stars on, when that should be sent immediately via push notification. There should also be an “activity log” where I can see what has been done throughout the day (ie. chores marked off/reassigned, events changed, rewards redeemed, stars earned, etc.). Lastly, no dark mode? At least not one that is apparent.
Again, overall it’s decent! Really glad I bought the device, and the plus subscription is totally worth it. I’m excited to see how the device and companion app improve over time.

One suggestion would be to implement a notification option for when a list is updated, would be good to see when I’m out and about if a grocery list has been updated.

Shame, improve the app stability and reliability - take away the greedy paywall and it would be a much better product overall.

SERIOUS Fraud and Functionality Issues with Plus Features
Even worse - it’s completely false that you can upload videos! When trying to upload a video in the iPhone app, we are directed to the Skylight Plus sign up page, AFTER WE ALREADY SIGNED UP, and then when we enter our email to indicate we already signed up, we are directed back to the upload page, after which we’re directed back to the sign up page, in an endless loop! How horrible must an app be to completely fail on providing the very features you are charging for? They should be required to give every customer their money back after promising features that do not exist.
