  • Needs to be better

    1. Needs clearer feedback signal for coherence level for the individual (center circle)
    2. Needs to share data with iOS Health data, specifically Mindfulness data.

Overall, the app is on the right path. I don’t want to hurt the app by giving it 3 stars because it’s decent, but it’s far below what a 5 star app should be.

    1. Clearer feedback
This app is not like the Inner Balance app, also by HeartMath. As a long time user of Inner Balance, having a clear and direct feedback signal (both sound and color changes on the interface) for coherence level is tremendously useful. It’s a bit plain and ordinary, but is super obvious what coherence state you are in.

In contrast, the Global Coherence app uses a fancier, more beautiful mandala-like format of pulsing concentric circles to represent individual, group, and global conference, respectively, and all at the same time. Very neat. BUT, what you gain in beauty you lose in fidelity regarding your actual coherence level. I have yet to detect a clear pattern in the center circle to actually determine my coherence level.

This is a big miss in my mind, because if you want to illustrate to people their changing coherence, you should make it as obvious as possible.

My suggestion: have the center circle change colors in accordance with coherence levels similar to the Inner Balance app.
    Redish for low coherence,
    Blue-ish for med coherence, and
    Green-ish for high coherence.

This seemingly minor tweak would dramatically improve the usability and friendliness of this app.

    2. Share Mindfulness data
The Inner Balance app shares Mindfulness data with iOS Health data, Global Coherence does not, nor does it have any options to do so. Another big miss in my opinion.

This should be the default option and feature for any HeartMath app.

Keep it up, HeartMath team. It’s a decent app, and the slickness of your apps need to match the height of your aspirations if you want widespread, organic, gotta-tell-your-friend-about-this-app kind of marketing.

  • Love concept needs bug fixes

I absolutely LOVE being able to practice with a group and play with getting our group connected and heart coherent. I’ve been using this app since Dr. Joe Disperenza’s July 2021 Denver Advanced Meditation Event. I’ve practiced in the Global Group and notice how satisfying it is to see the purple cloud get more intense. The starburst and purple graphic are beautiful AND calming, really good feedback idea.

Since back home, I created my own group, adding the 4 family and friends who own a Heart Math device, for a total of 5 of us. (Two of our group live in other states.) I practice every day for 10-30 plus minutes, at least once a day, often twice with those who are available. 🤍♥️
I’ve founds some issues and wish this app was better. I’m hoping posting here will be a support in fixes.
-When a member of our group joins the session, there is a pattern of coherence scores jumping up and I am now not trusting those high scores if it’s within 1-2 min after they join.
-On Android devices, members of our group have shared how often their device doesn’t connect to show their score. They end up getting out of the app and back in a few times as well as turning their Heart Math sensor off and back on, till it gives them a score.
-There are two people in our group that often do not show up in the map, we cannot figure why. (An iPhone user and and Android user.)
-Multiple times it shows more participants in our group than are on. This morning it showed 4, when only 3 of us were on.
-Sometimes when someone has left the group, it still shows the same number of participants as if they were still there. It can last for 1-10 minutes. Or until I get out and back into the app.
I look forward to any improvements.
We’ve all been using Inner Balance and prefer it, as it works better. But it doesn’t have a way for us to see each other in the app like the Global app does. It would be wonderful if we could trust this app to be accurate and connect us…

  • Love - But add more music

Love the concept of this app. It’s really lovely seeing the live glowing pink spots of people all over the world doing the same as you. The app would be greatly improved by adding more relaxing meditation music, currently only 1 track?
  • This is so cool!!!

🧘‍♀️ This is so beautiful. I’ve just tried out the app and I love it, it’s so easy to use. I’ll definitely be using it regularly

    Thank you 🙏🏻 So Hum
  • Amazing app for heart coherence meditation

I really love how this app enables you to become coherent with people simultaneously all over the world, and the map is a really neat feature to see where all the nodes of consciousness are who are practicing coherence while you are.
  • Still figuring it out

The map works for me. Really neat!! Like feeling connected to others in these sessions. But even though I can make a group there’s no way for me to make that group public or reach out to other users to let them know about it so that’s pointless… And there are currently no ‘global events’ and there’s no way to make an event in my group of me or for everyone. Obviously they still need to figure out how the social aspect of this app actually works.

  • I can’t even create an account.

I’m giving this a one star basically because I can’t even create an account. I tried submitting my information and when it got to the birthday, the page was blank. There was nothing I could do nothing I could enter nothing I could change so I had to cancel out of that page. 🤷🏻‍♀️
