  • BEWARE

    I regret “upgrading” our intercom system to this AIPHONE. It doesnt work 90% of the time. I had 20 rings today and it worked ONE TIME. The other 19 times I tried to use it the app would not respond and give me all kinds of error messages.

    Or it took 30-45 seconds for the app to open. In this cold weather, no one wants to wait close to a minute and they end up walking away

  • Does not work.

    QR code does not work and can’t connect to my building
  • Absolutely Terrible

    Unfortunately I’m stuck using this app because my building “upgraded” to this app. It constantly has connection issues or is offline.
  • Privacy Policy

    Terrible app. I don’t recommend getting it if at all possible. Their privacy policy alone is ridiculously long and impossible to read on a cell phone. Their privacy policy protects them completely, and leaves you virtually no protection or recourse. I tried contacting them using the procedure on their website, and even to do that, you have to first surrender significant privacy rights. Unfortunately, if your building requires you to use this application to get in, you have to use it, and AIPHONE IXG knows it. They got you, they know it, and appear willing to use it.

  • Total Garbage

    It seems that the developers of this system forgot that the most important feature is opening the door. This replaced an old Door King system on our building from the 90s. The Door King worked faster and better. It did not have a touchscreen or a camera, but it was possible to open the door. When someone calls you from the door with this AIPHONE IXG garbage, you have to navigate through several levels of menu items in order to open the door. After that, it takes 20 or 30 seconds to connect. Then, about 50% of the time the action to open the door fails. Delivery drivers tend to walk away rather than wait for this high-tech front-door iPad to let them in. I don’t even have time to go into the problems with the user interface of the system at the front door. Most people have trouble figuring out how to get in.

  • Difficulty to set and use

    I wish apps were better vetted for setup and functionality. This one is awful. They should test it at their own home and experience how frustrating it is before putting out to the public.

  • Inconsistent

    They iPhone application has a long lag time from the time the bell is rang at the doorway to the time the phone connects through the gateway, this time lag leads residences to believe the application is not working. This time lag also occasionally times out which blocks the gateway, allowing no more calls to take place. The application seems to disconnect early, it also seems to not launch the intercom from locked mode.The application certainly does not properly disconnect the connection back to the gateway after the door is opened or if a connection error is received trying to contact the end-user. Overall satisfaction of the residents of the community with the AIPHONE intercom system and application is not very high.
    Application hangs during connection attempt, leaving the application and the station unusable.
