  • Blank screen but game sound

I am using a iPhone 11 Pro and have had problems with congested warp gates. I got to a congested gate earlier and the game locked up so I restarted the game and I had a message after selecting my character that explains the my current location was busy and the gate was closed, so I chose another station to where I would off spawned and my character never loaded in. I waited for nearly 40 minutes and nothing but a blank screen but with in game sound. I reloaded hoping this would solve the issue and even uninstalled the game and reinstalled and still a blank screen with in game sound. I am so angry because my ship which is a omen trainer, fully geared up which I know has probably been destroyed by now. My account is also a omega account. I then switched to my 2nd character only to find that I cannot train skills as my 1st character has a full skill training and you can’t train 2 characters at the same time but would of thought if you activate skills on 1 character, the skills on the 2nd character would cancel out but this is not the case. Hope the Devs see this. I sent an email and no reply and submitted a ticket about my bugged main character.

  • Stellar Space MMO with great support

TL,DR: a great spaceship game in a sandbox universe. Amazing support from the developer. If you enjoy learning and mastering systems, spaceships, economy, finance, espionage & subterfuge, or politics, there is something amazing for you to discover in this game.

Mechanics: this is a great game, on par with most AAA MMOs on pc/Mac. Understanding the game systems and your ability to play the game truly matter. It avoids P2W by keeping the largest skill boosts available to a free accounts. While subscribers do get access to additional bonuses, free characters have all the tools they need to be competitive in the hands of an able player.

Theme: this is the penultimate spaceship command game. There is a reason just about every space game gets compared to Eve, and Echoes has managed to capture that feeling. The developer has captured and improved the core essence of Eve, as well as laid visible foundations for future enhancement.

Support: the Development and Customer service teams are great. They provide frequent, clear communication and have a customer-centric mindset. Like any other major MMO, they do run into issues. When they have issues, communication is fast and we frequently receive compensation for their bugs. This indicates that they value openness and accountability with their community. That is a rare and very appreciated set of values.

  • Very detailed with some major disadvantages

This game is one of the most complex games I have pretty much ever played and it’s still holding my interest. However with all things as you use it more you find more things wrong (but also better). For instance the community is pretty great and the graphics are pretty nice, however I notice that every system has the same planet skins (i.e I keep seeing Jupiter and Saturn) also the Omega Clone is a subscription that without, it feels like more then half the game is blocked. Travel in the game I feel could be faster, in game I’ve timed how long it takes for 15 jumps and at about 30ish seconds for one jump I was getting close to 7-8 minuets on autopilot. Another thing I’ve noticed is how often the server undergoes maintenance and it really impedes in how often you can play. If maintenance could be shorter or less often and if travel could be quicker with more star gates I feel like this game could be a lot better, if the Omega Clone subscription could be reduced some and offer more to the free Alpha Clones it would also help grow. I hope the developer reads this and know that it’s a great game but with some major/minor flaws. Keep up the good work though, till next time

  • Poorly made game

It's a poorly made mobile port of a PC game. They didn't account for any issues that you would have on a mobile device.
You get one notification, a text, a call or even a low battery alert and the you quickly get back into the game in a second or two, it switches to offline auto-pilot mode and tries reconnecting for the next 15-30 seconds making it a disaster in combat.
Not only that, you are just expected to know everything as if they only want eve online players here. There isn't much information available in-game and if you ask any questions in the official discord or on reddit, you won't even get a reply.
The game just draws random icons and symbols on your hud showing the debuffs being applied, but doesn't tell you what those mean. There are ships that you can make, but are not on the ship tree, so if you are a player from eve online, you know about it, others don't.
Not really a mobile game, horrible UI and lots of connectivity issues that make you lose your ship over and over again in combat.

  • Well now

This is pretty boring as far as an adventure game goes. Beautiful graphics and smooth game play though. Game is stingy with very little freebies for players. Planets in close proximity to where you start the game are already colonized. Takes forever to get anywhere, jump after jump, after jump then the pirates are too strong for a beginners spacecraft. Keeping track of where you leave what is a nightmare. You can’t control your spacecraft. Forced quests that have nothing to do with what the player wants to do just get in the way. All and all GOF2 is still the best exploration, mining, questing and fighting pirates space game out there. Most of these types of games still use the original GOF format as a starting place, this one is no different. I gave this game a fair shot but it bottomed out like all the rest as a Pay to Play game. Players are free to show off their parents or their own, credit cards in a never ending quest to pay more as the game progresses. Save your money and time. Download GOF2.

  • A mile wide, an inch deep

It’s hard not to compare it to the PC game its based on, but even if I think of this as something completely new, it’s hard to enjoy it. It has all the essentials of Eve Online, the spaceship battles, player driven economy, etc. But they’re all trimmed and made for people who spend most of their time not playing the game. Maybe it’ll improve once the player base builds up, but at that point it will be very much pay-to-win. And honestly, I’m skeptical. The player interactions are poor, there’s as much bot spam as legitimate player conversation. The main activity is “messing with the interface of a complex game

It’s also glaringly unfinished. Tons of bugs across the board. Some buttons bring up menus that simply say, “Feature Not Implemented yet.”

It does feel pretty authentically Eve, and looks and sounds great on my 11” iPad. But there’s just not much to do once you get everything figured out.

  • Love the idea of the game on mobile and iPad but,

The idea of the game is great but is incomplete:
Created my fist 2 character bind my account then find out you can’t delete character or unblind account. In the character creation, game will give you some random Chinese name, without promoting you to enter your own character name, what game does that without any rename options. Now I stuck with 2 slots with some undesirable name on my game centre account can’t be changed. Also customer services on discord is unresponsive too, Never got any reply from them.

  • Needs better ways of getting content

The market is limited right now, either the items are not in the game (maller) or they are almost impossible to get.

Anyone moaning about “pay to win” doesn’t know what eve online is, this is the mobile version albeit a fresh start, but think alpha clone as Permanent trial status, and omega as subscription, which is EXACTLY as eve online the main game is.

Omega just gives you full access to the content of the game.

Thankfully there are no warp bubbles yet that I know of, so 0.0 risk is now purely that, a calculated risk for the better stuff, just need a better way of getting that better stuff. At the moment it’s that hard to get, players are being greedy and pricing people out of the market.

Other wise it’s not to bad, no replacement for the full eve experience which you get on pc, but as long as they keep the warp bubbles out of the game, I’ll continue with the omega subscription

  • Hot Mess

I really wanted to like this game but dear sweet lord it is a hot, confusing mess. The beginner tutorial is laughably short but it is an encyclopaedia of knowledge compared to the advanced tutorial which teaches you next to nothing about what you should be doing.

The grindy nature of the gameplay experience is as dull as dishwater and wholly unrewarding - the cost of everything is ruinous and is clearly designed to get players to part with their cash in order to buy any one of several in-game currencies.

The UI is awful - constantly going back and forward through screens to do the simplest of tasks. Trying to do deliveries is an exercise in futility with a ridiculous collateral system just to make things that little bit more annoying.

Trying to find materials is painful - the map provides you with next to no information as to what resources are available so you end up jumping from one system to another (and there are apparently 8000 of them).

The factions appear to serve absolutely no purpose beyond altering the title of the various tedious encounters - you get no sense of the flavour of what each of the factions are about and what their goals are. There is a ton of lore in the in-game encyclopaedia but all that lore doesn’t appear to have any meaningful impact on the actual game.

I tried to stick it out but unfortunately it was just too painful.

  • Visually stunning! In-depth and fantastic idle game

I love this game! The mechanics are simple, the graphics are stunning (on my iPad Pro 11), and it is surprisingly in-depth.

There is a lot of warping about in space so it’s more suited to be an idle game sometimes. It is a very relaxed experience though which I don’t mind.

I’ve recently started reading the guide in-game. The lore is really quite interesting. I find myself to be reading bits of it every now and then while idle mining or travelling.

I like that we have to be with a corporation, it gives the game a social aspect.

This is why the game feels so alive.

It’s a sci-fi open world MMO with beautiful graphics and a rich gameplay

If you haven’t tried this game, do yourself the pleasure and check it out.

I predict this game will only get bigger.
