  • Phenomenal, but be prepared to learn from experience!

I took a star off because I do see some bugs and a bit too much money involved with resources, however, this game is not p2p and you can still have a blast playing this game without money.

...that being said, EveEchoes is a real fun game to play: very realistic and there really is no gameplay involved: it’s a giant, open-world “oasis” in space where you can trade, battle, explore, or even just cruise through space in your ship. I definitely like the simple tutorials they provide you in the game, but don’t expect the, tutorial to give you a lot of info! This (again) is an oasis-type game where you have to figure things out yourself.

I also really like how you can choose who to fight or not to fight in space. It’s not like other space war games where you’re forced to shoot down other ships: in Eve, I can simply depict who to target and destroy and who to ignore and pass by (with the exception of AI pirates), and the ships are controlled through AI piloting so you only depict when to switch your guns on, dock, etc. for a beginner first learning this game. I highly recommend you only attack ships that attack you first.

I definitely see many updates coming to this game, and it’s on the right path, but please decrease the real money involvement a bit. Other than that, games phenomenal, and other gamers, I hope this helps you visualize what to expect in this amazing game.

  • Worst customer service I have ever seen!

Played the game for hours to buy a ship, the game d/c due to a bug and the ship was destroyed because the d/c turned off my repairer, lost the ship. Contacted customer service, provided screenshots. Waited 1 week for a response, response was that they would do nothing because they had given insurance items due to maintenance. The insurance cost was 3 times the market price. Customer service did nothing to make things fair or right at all. They say you only know the quality of something when you need help. If I could rate this with minus stars, I would. No excuse for this treatment of paying customers. When asked for a refund, they told me to speak with Apple (passed responsibility) if you want to waste 100 hours of play and get no help when you need it, sign up. Having paid for the pc version and omega status here, it’s disgraceful.

  • This is EVE

The aim of the game is to come from nothing and become whatever you want to be. The depth of the game is supposed to make you feel small and insignificant - YOU have to grind your way up into bigger ships, better places, etc. Things are easier when you meet players and find friends and alliances across the universe, to achieve common goals, to become wealthier and more powerful. There are many ways you can play to become wealthier in this game, you don’t have to just fight or mine. The game is all about risk indeed, this is what makes those pay to play players fall to their knees. They can lose everything they have just like you. Don’t like someone? Gang up with your friends and take them down. Don’t like a group? Get another group, and go have all out space war. If the game was quick, everyone would be everywhere and have huge ships and be in everyone’s territory and it wouldn’t feel like vast space, instead a small grid with too many stop and go’s. The ENTIRE game is alive with a PLAYER DRIVEN ECONOMY. It’s really a space pilot simulator. Sure it could use some more improvements, but it’s a beautiful game already

  • Won’t start

Says its not supported. So why not stop it being installed to start with like other apps do?
  • It’s OK, but not for casual players

This is a great MMORPG, probably the best available on a mobile device. If you like Eve Online, you’ll love this.
However, much the same as E.O it’s not casual gamer friendly. Unless you give-up a large chunk of your life to this game it’s hard to make good progress and establish a steady income route.
I would argue that by its nature, a mobile-based game is a casual one you are going to dip in and out of, not sit on for hours. So I think this game has missed the mark, as you may as well play the real deal (E.O) instead.
But if you can and do want to give a mobile-bases game a lot of your time, this is a really good one to give it to.

UPDATE: Just wanted to add to this review that I can safely say that after a few months of playing this game has reached its end for me. I now find it quite boring as there just isn’t anything you can do as a casual player. To get anything from this game you need to grind, or be part of an active Corp (which there aren’t many of) and you might as well play EVE Online where you get the full experience.

  • Good game but still too many bugs and lots misleading official info

I have being playing eve echoes for more than 2 months. I spent a lot of time to build my own faction cruisers which got blowed up in the dead space after Nov 11 dynamic fleet patch. The ship recovery service was used to provide players with security to try out new stuff. However in my case, I just used the service right before the patch. I argued with customer service that the destroyed ships should be recovered because it was destroyed between the designated security period. But I end up not getting those faction ships back and the customer service just keep replying with autoreply information. All my hundreds of hours of efforts were wasted.
Here is the misleading information that provide players with fake sense of security: “Since the game is updated on Nov 11th, all faction frigates and cruisers loss in PVE can use the ship recovery service before Nov 18th.”
The information can either be interpreted as “Players who loss their faction frigates or cruisers in PVE scenario can recover their ships through ship recovery service between Nov 11th and Nov 18th” or “any faction frigates and cruisers can be recovered as long as it is destroyed in PVE scenario between Nov 11th and Nov 18th”.
So if u really want to dive in this game, plz be advised that the official announcement could be very misleading and cause huge loss and that this game is still a half-done game.

  • A review on the game

This game is so cool and the ships are amazing. the great cosmos of this game is big with all its existing planets to visit I rate this game a 10 star review only thing is for players out there who just started his my answer. I want to give you this game has ships you will have to buy rather you want to do it quickly to get it like spending real money or just taking your time at doing missions that will give you money for things you want to buy like better weapons or better ships and many other things. A thing you can also do is abstracting recourses on planets and selling them at trading posts across the galaxy that you play in now I now this sounds complicated but it will really help you out and you can also get stuff by destroying enemy ships and taking their stuff then there is the other things that you must know is that some things that you get must be at a tech level you are at to get things that you want now you probably don’t know what a tech level is so I will say it it’s pretty much a skill level you are at. Your tech level is what allows you to get things at the market or blue prints for ships and that is my answer to you new players enjoy eve echos or as I say eve online good luck 😉👍

  • Beautiful whale game

It’s admittedly a beautiful game and I enjoyed discovering the finer details of gameplay. BUT: Even as omega (subscriber for 5 bucks per month) with way more skills to unlock than non paying players you will soon realize that you’re nothing but whale fodder. To make progress at a reasonable rate you have to leave the high security non pvp sectors and mine or do missions in pvp sectors. No way around this. That’s where the whales will eat you. There are ships for literally a billion and more of the ingame currency which you simply stand no chance against after weeks of gameplay. And again, avoiding them by staying in high sec will significantly slow your progress. Clearly developers want to force you into pvp not for fair competition but to entertain their whales with golden credit cards. It’s kind of sad, but once this became obvious I decided to not even pay monthly subscriptions. If my destiny in this game is whale fodder I certainly won’t pay for that honor. Probably I quit it all together. Nevertheless.... as a game it looks and feels awesome. Respect to the game developers, I hope the marketing team will get fired though.

PS: no response by developers to any review here. I’m definitely done with the game. Too toxic.

  • I love it

First off i’ll say thank you because i’ve wanted a good space mobile game since forever now and y’all made this one which is just huge. Some people keep complaining about how manny stargates their are but I don’t think they realize that almost everything in game is made by the players. Like I said, i like the game a lot but the one thing that I don’t like is the omega clone subscription (i bought it) but it makes me feel like it’s unfair for other players that’s not dedicated enough to learn the mechanics, because I was confused at first but i like the game so much i literally progressed so fast. Alright now this is the last thing. Y’all keep up the great work with this game and i’ll continue to buy the omega pass to help as much I can. THANK Y’ALL FOR THIS GAME

  • Disillusioned

I really wanted to like this game. I go back to the old days, used to love Elite. Have always been curious about Eve Online but was put off by the then new concept of paying money to buy things in games. When I saw this coming up I preregistered and signed up straight away.

I played for free to begin with, but there were too many limitations. I got into a good alliance, and almost everyone was doing better than me. Then I learned there was a £5 subscription which gave you everything the game had to offer, just slower tech research. I thought that would be a good solution.

Stuck at it, getting bored with the repetitive nature of the missions, but it became obvious that I was falling well behind on development. I carried on for a little while longer, but the travelling time and having to reroute due to overcrowded systems gets really frustrating, so I quit.

I’m in no doubt that there is a great game in there if you have the time and the money to be regularly active. There is huge depth, with a vast tech tree and many different types of ships, which can be fitted out from an impressive range of weapons, shields, boosters and many more devices.

So if you want to did deep you’ll love this, but maybe not if you want to play for fun.

Oh, there is also a lot of jargon if you end up playing with experienced players, so try to find a mix of new and veterans to team up with.
