  • Where is inclusivity?

Very select people are invited or allowed to join. They say it’s a gay app, but then they tell you they only allow queer from creative field. Very misleading. Very Elitist. This is what’s wrong with social media today. It only caters Elite people, only those who show extravagant lifestyle. Where’s the queer communion? This brings us back to our history when gay men discriminates femme and trans. The queer community is rotten in the inside because we discriminate each other. And this app is no different.

  • Another masculine nudity contest

The advertisements for this app made it seem like it was a diverse inclusive place, but it seems to be the most intensive representation of discrimination within the gay community. The app is flooded with the same muscular body, hot face, short brown hair, stubble or moustache. It almost seems like it’s a nudity contest of how close you can get to being nude without it taken down. It’s so lacking on diversity, it almost feels republican in some way, or white supremacy? I went on the app looking for a diverse space, but I found a pit of the exact type of people that made me hate myself.

  • All I can say

Why advertise it as a meet new people or new romance app where you only accept people who work in creative fields a bit much though
  • App

The App algorithm is very inconsistent. It allows for some fun and sexy photos on profiles but pulls other photos off that are less revealing or push the edge of the rules. It doesn’t make the app enjoyable to use and confusing to what types of expression are allowed. And why does it all certain expressions and photos on some profiles and not on others?

The developers need to fix this and make all censorship consistent. Cause the AI algorithms is not working.

I’ve talked to a few other Collective App users and they all feel the same.

  • Discriminative and excluding

You’ll be judge by your SNS if you want to create an account. You have to be a basic stereotype to be accepted. What a discriminative piece of trash just like the gay community has been.
  • Toxic & cliquey

If you aren’t the developers friend, then it’s literally like, ‘why are you on this app…’
    so disappointing lol
  • plz grow 🌱💗

Love the goal of this app. And the execution so far is amazing. Really hoping this catching on with the queer community cause it’s so fun to use. And seems like a much more useful dating app then a lot of other ones we got out there. Its definitely new and will be better to use as new features get added. But the app works flawlessly and isn’t glitchy at all.

  • Freedom of expression

I love how this platform allows the freedom of expression. I have found in comparison to platforms such as instagram I feel more comfortable in posting my thoughts and feelings in a way that is a more true representation of who I am without fear of being criticised. I just love it. Thank you for creating this for our community and I hope more people join in the future! <3

  • Queer Haven

Collection has been the most enjoyable social media experience I’ve had in years. Despite this app being a hybrid for dating and platonic connection, I have found myself presenting in the most authentic. This is due to features like being unable to see how many followers or likes other members have.
I feel as though I am organically connecting with like-minded individuals.

  • Looking good

I’ve tried a few new social apps but Collective really has something. It’s clearly still growing and it’s nice to see a community forming in London
