Good app, just not a lot of users
I just downloaded this application yesterday after watching a youtube video about it, and to be honest it got me stoked looking for people my age to play badminton with (I usually play on a team at high school). When I actually downloaded the app there wasn’t nearly enough people to justify downloading the app in the first place. I do enjoy the look and simplicity of the interface, but the lack of users is definitely their main problem.
PS: why do i need to pay a premium subscription just to match with people my own age? it seems kind of weird to put that particular feature behind a paywall.Show lessJacob.2007

The main filters of the application are based on skill level and the general location you wish to play in. The app is such a great idea. Just what you need if you want to get into racket sports. It’s simple and very easy to use. You can create matches and invite others to join your match. You can search for different clubs and courts around your area. You can make new friends to organise sessions and join leagues to compete against opponents of a similar level. Speedy and helpful customer service. I’ve made lots of friends and have weekly hitting sessions thanks to the app. Would recommend.Show lessRyan H-B

The app is very good for finding players and venues for racket sports in your area. It is intuitive and easy to use. It also allows you to connect with players, find venues with suitable sports halls / grounds in your area and encourages play. It aims to link players of equal ability so that you are always learning or improving. The app could use some tweaks to improve its matching algorithm and improve its chat functionalities which don’t always run smoothly or update regularly. More freedom to set timings for matches inviting other players would also be appreciated. I have been using the app for badminton and have some wonderful people through it! The core concept of this is great - it’s a shame it’s let down by, like many other apps, a paywall & I think it’s what’s driving people away. Pros - The ability to create a (very) basic profile & connect with people at your skill level. Cons - When inputting your personal location it doesent obscure it - if I were to put in Melbourne, it’ll show up as Melbourne- if I put in my full address though, that’ll show up, which is a really big problem: you’ve got so many accounts on here with full name/age/photos and full address for everyone to see - it’s kinda dangerous. - The paywall: Paywalls make sense if you have a good core product - this isn’t really that, at least yet. Why would I pay to message more people, if those extra messages won’t result in a reply? - Lack of activity: After using this app for months I’ve only had two people get back to me & Ive probably messaged 40+ people. A large portion of people on here say they were last active months and months ago - I wonder why: they download the app, realise there’s a paywall and lack of activity then delete the app, that’s what I did at the start too.Show lessImoutofnicknames777

I have friends I play badminton with but they’re very unreliable and very inconsistent. So I did some research and came across RacketPal.
I joined and instantly got messaged by a nice female who wanted to play. We spoke for a bit and met to play!

This app is excellent app for finding players and playing tennis, but it also helps with other racquet sports similarly.
I started using it when I moved to London recently. I've used other platform like PlayYourCourt but it didn't lead to games.
3 really good things about this app:
1) The players rating system from beginner to advanced is super helpful in finding players with similar level of play, which is quite critical in setting up a game.
2) People can setup game and you can view the game setup in your area (or extend/reduce radius), and quickly request to join a game that someone else may have planned
3) While there is a paid version of the app, the free features are excellent enough that players are actually on the app, which is essential since more users leads to a higher likelihood of actually finding players to play with.
The app is very smooth. The rating systems incentives players to keep things respectful (show up on time, split court fees etc.), and the messaging systems works well too.

I've been able to play more tennis and find new friends using racketpal. Racketpal has been an eye-opener for different player levels, although it's challenging to ascertain a player’s level unless you play them first. Intermediate means different things to many players. I suppose a potential development could be creating a ranking system between players in a location. The more players win, the more points they get, and things become more competitive because you'd do everything to win a match.Show lessJo_siah

If I’m be honest I wasn’t sure if this app was going to work or if it actually had serious players on it. Well I’m happy to say I was wrong. It’s very easy to use and you can meet players if you put the effort in. They have ratings within the app too which is pretty useful. I have now introduced myself to a few people and played a few which is great. Some will answer and some won’t. None the less this app is pretty intuitive whether you’re into Tennis or any other racquet sports. Well done guys.Show lessDWINT 08

I’ve used RacketPal for over a year now, and through it, have gotten to know many players. The app has a sleeker design than its competitors and intuitive to use. I also appreciate the ability to review players and award them with badges, which makes users more invested in the app.
In terms of improvements, I’ll like to be able to gatekeep my games. Specifically, it will be nice to be able to “grant” someone entry to a game rather than them having the automatic right to join. This will definitely help in ensuring that player levels are more on par. The methodology for player scores also warrant a possible rethinking. For instance, it doesn’t mean that I’m not on a certain level just because I’ve lost a game.
Otherwise, RacketPal is my go to app to look for tennis mates.Show lesshenryljw

The app is very good as it allows you to connect with fellow players who live close to you, play to a similar level and available at the same time as you. The app allows you to message loads of individuals and you can also give them a rating and organise games and joins leagues.
Racketpal never crashes and is very easy to use. I highly recommend it if you are looking for others to play racket sports with especially Tennis.Show lessGuggutyre12
