Excellent management.

Having initially booked a home managed by the same company elsewhere and having to cancel that due to an itinerary change, I had no issues with receiving a refund for that booking. This was all handled very professionally and very promptly.
The whole booking process and the information regarding self check in and check out was all very streamlined and all available through the app with good timing leaving me in no doubt as to how the process worked. I felt supported even though there was not a direct human interaction.

Absolute Worst Management Company Ever

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Vacasa Vacation Rental Management, and I cannot stress enough how poorly run this company is. It is abundantly clear that they are unprofitable and on a fast track towards bankruptcy. This pervasive attitude of failure and despair permeates every aspect of their business.

Their customer service is nothing short of a joke. Whether you’re dealing with their poorly scripted AI bots or their human representatives (who might as well be robots), the experience is equally frustrating and unhelpful. Vacasa has effectively removed hospitality from the hospitality business, leaving customers feeling neglected and disrespected.

For any self-respecting homeowner considering contracting with Vacasa, I strongly advise against it. Their incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction are unmatched. They are so abysmal in their operations that I am certain many people end up trashing the properties in revenge for the appalling way they have been treated.

To make matters worse, Vacasa CEO Rob Greyber received a $2 million bonus for overseeing this train wreck and a staggering 90% drop in stock value. Vacasa chases failure like it’s their destiny … and it is.

Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Vacasa. They are a disaster waiting to happen, and no one should have to endure the level of incompetence and disrespect that they dish out on a daily basis.

Love Vacasa !!!

I have been going through Vacasa for years now . I travel several times a year with my grown kids, their Families and extended family and friends. We are always happy with our condos. They are always clean and have a lot of amenities! They are always in the locations we are traveling to. Once we had an issue where our paid condo was no longer available for some reason - Vacasa informed us quickly and offered us 3 other options and we picked an option that was more money than the original condo and there were no extra costs . Our vacation was not affected by this at all. I love the site also so easy to use . Love love love Vacasa!

So many automated messages

Too many automated messages asking for reviews and hoping I’m having a good vacation etc. off the back of having to leave a property due to a cockroach infestation!

Plus the call centre needs ticket ownership … literally every response was handled by a different person! You have no idea how infuriating this is … its basic call handling!!!
As such I will look to avoid staying at a property managed by you!

AVOID

Don’t use Vacasa. App sucks, it’s a TERRIBLE service. Recent rental had several issues. Biggest was leaking dishwasher. Robotic responses, said they will get back, never did. When contacted again, got the “sorry for the inconvenience”. I said thanks, they literally replied, “You are welcome”. Unreal

App Will Not Let Me Sign In

I’ve only had this app for a couple of days and it will not let me pass the “match the word to the photo” to sign in. The error message “oops” keeps coming up but there is no tech support or suggestion of what needs to be done.

I can however log in perfectly through the website. That’s not very convenient because the text messages I’m receiving (I have a trip booked) say “sign into the app”.

Is there any solution this issue? I’ll probably delete the app after my trip and just use the website in the future.

Look elsewhere

Abysmal experience with customer service, which is a mega call center with no communication or care for the actual customers. Booked a place with a heated pool. Listing said there would be a charge of $50 per day for the heat. I later found out that the listing hadn’t been updated but that were implementing an increased charge of $65 per day. Upon booking I was told there were fees that increased the total to $220 for a 3 night stay. The pool was freezing and we spent an undesirable amount of our vacation on many calls and with multiple workers, to no avail. We were promised a full refund but it took weeks of calling for them to follow through. Even then, they only refunded $198. Choose another company to do business with because this one doesn’t care about anything but their bottom lines.

Do NOT use Vacasa. Terrible Properties and Customer Support.

We were booked into an unsafe room. We have been in touch with “customer support” for over a week. Our room was dirty, used as storage, and electrocuted us, but Vacasa issued “no refund” once we were barely able to speak to someone. This app is full of shady people and not worth the hassle. Their standards for rooms do not exist. We had a week-long stay turn into a nightmare that put us an extra $1k in the hole because we had to book with a different room (after a separate hotel gave us a discount for something that wasn’t their fault!! that’s called being a good company vacasa!!) If you plan on staying in Molokai especially, do NOT use Vacasa (just don’t use the app at all), book through the hotel!! Will never use this god-forsaken app ever again.

My father passed away unexpectedly and my family and I had booked a small vacation to York, Maine through AirBnB hosted by Vacasa. Within two days of my father's passing, we knew we would not be able to travel. My wife immediately reached out through AirBnb to inquire about options for our vacation. Originally, we were told Vacasa would allow us to reschedule into the future. When we followed up, that was not allowed and no refund would be issued. We followed up again and re-informed them of our reason for cancelation. Upon calling their customer service, the call was disconnected after explaining the situation. After yet another followup, we were told a "floating refund" would be issued if any of our dates were rebooked and to call back after 8/31 for information. We called back today and was told the "best they could offer" was a one night refund. Needless to say, we don't feel this is appropriate. We did not cancel the trip due to weather or illness or inconvenience. We canceled due to a completely unforeseen and devastating circumstance. We will never book anything through Vacasa again and strongly urge other potential customers to take caution.
