Not good

Worked for a year now cannot connect to Bluetooth what a waste of money!!!!😔😔😔😔😔

Ridiculously small Bluetooth range

Great concept—control your watering through your smartphone anytime, anywhere. HUGE problem is the app is designed with a 30’ range. In reality, the range is about 10-15’. I set my soaker hoses to run early in the morning while I’m asleep, but the timer doesn’t turn on if my phone is in my bedroom. Timer only works if my phone is in the room closest to the outdoor spigot. Forget ever leaving your house if you want it to work.

The app doesn’t work.

The app crashes everytime I try to load the device. I tried the app on 2 iphones and 1 ipad. Always does the same thing. The device is useless without a working app. Please fix!

Colossal mistake

I made a huge mistake purchasing this unit. I bought it because I am out of town for three weeks and I wanted a timer I could set and forget about. I also wanted something I could control from a remote location, in this case, two hundred miles from my home. I was profoundly disappointed to learn that control is only available if the phone is within 30’ of the unit. Why would I buy a timer if I’m going to be at home to do the watering myself. So now, although I have a “water timer” hooked up to my watering system, I will have to have a friend come to
my house to turn it on. I can’t even check the settings I had set up unless I am right on top of this thing. I’ll try to use it for the rest of the season but I’ll buy something different for next year. Worthless and a waste of money for what I needed. Disappointing.

Problems

I bought four of these, what a huge waste of money. They sort of worked the first year if I would walk around to each timer and adjust and operate from close range. When the season was over I drained the water and removed the batteries and stored them inside my house so no chance of freezing.
New season I get them out and try to connect with no luck. My phone app will see them but that is all, when I try to make any changes the app wheel just spins and say loading then just stops. Worthless expensive junk.

Worst app ever

This app is the most frustrating one I’ve ever used, and it makes me regret purchasing the timers, which are expensive. I’ve tried contacting support, and none of the suggestions I was given actually work. I live where I have watering restrictions that allow for watering on odd days only, which was fine until we hit 31 days in the month. Try as I might, I can’t get the app to switch to the new odd days. I’ve removed the batteries, I’ve changed the time and day I reset the timers. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It simply does not allow me to change the start day. I will get fined big time for watering on the wrong days, so I’m stuck turning the app on and off every day. That’s fine albeit irritating on the days I’m home, but when I’m not home, it won’t work at all, since you have to be within 30 feet to make any changes. Without the ability to change the start day, this is a colossal waste of money. Don’t buy these timers - the app is completely useless.

Needs a major update

This app works ok. But the watering on/off and schedule parameters are idiotic.

If you want to, say, create a schedule that keeps your yard wet for growing grass, you can program a start time and the amount of watering time, but there’s no stop time and so it waters all day long at the interval until midnight (?) and then repeats the next morning. Where’s the end time for the intervals?

I like the devices, and we have 2 four valve units, and plans to maybe buy more but this app is super crappy and wastes water… and it’s making us reconsider, and perhaps buy a different brand of wifi or Bluetooth watering timer.

Won’t even connect this season to iPhone

Second season for this valve. Worked ok last year - using with iPhone for pretty simplistic program and on/off function from inside the house. This year, it won’t even load / connect using the same phone and same valve. It has fresh batteries. Guessing the app is not keeping up with iOS updates. Valve still works manually but the app is useless after several attempts. What’s up MELNOR?

Watering Cycle

I have planted a new lawn and want to keep it damp while seed germinates. Two cycles per day is not enough. Developer could have easily put four ( or more ) cycles. Hope they will do this, until then it is not adequate for my requirement

Horrible.

Terrible app for multiple reasons some of which are easy to fix with better programming.
To suggest this is ‘wireless’ is almost a lie. The Bluetooth range is so weak you need to almost be within arms reach to use it. (Beware it does NOT use wifi.)
And the programming options are very poorly implemented. For ex. When you apply a rain delay it applies it from the time that you make the change - not to the scheduled times. Thus when you apply rain delays to the four outputs, they will next start water flow at the same time even though you originally scheduled them for different activation times / periods.
Do NOT buy any of their hardware based upon this app.
