Delayed arrival in London December 27
To get to London more than half an hour late after boarding the train on time at Doncaster at 935 was an incredible disappointment. It means we will not be able to make our lunch appointment before we go to a matinee performance. There must be a better way given the prices charged for this lack of service.

Buying a ticket with a seat number does not entitle you yo a seat
Paid for a first class ticket on 16:27pm train. They cancelled it. Said I should catch the next train but I’m not guaranteed a seat. That I paid for journey and seats are complimentaryKofogt
Great app, helpful support
I chose Grand Central because, unlike other companies, they don’t charge a booking fee (big plus). It’s easy to find services and the best fares. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my most recent booking and rang the help line. The person I spoke to was friendly and very helpful and arranged a refund straight away. Dreadful service
Got the train from Eaglescliffe to London at 9.40 this morning , it’s 1415 and I’m still on my way to London. First train terminated at Doncaster due to a shortage of trains, told to get the Hull train which I did, that terminated at Huntingdon due to a windscreen wiper being faulty.
If I had driven I would have been at my final destination by now. Warning. Don’t let the train take the strain.. unless of course it’s an LNER which I have always found to be excellent..Show lessrobbothemainman
