  • Love this app

    This is such an easy to use app if in a grocery store just type in a food item! Only thing that I don’t like is that garbanzo bean or chickpea is not listed 😔
  • Extremely helpful tool that makes eating less stressful!!

    Melanie Avalon has created an app that caters to my exact needs of understanding why certain foods don’t agree with me. Whenever I eat something that causes discomfort/gastrointestinal distress/brain fog/ whatever(!), I log onto this app and am quickly able to figure out what compounds in that food likely are the culprits. It’s helped me narrow down which compounds specifically don’t work for me as I have been able to cross reference reactions from different foods to determine commonalities, and therefore, am able to identify what is problematic for me. I appreciate this app so much and recommend it to anyone who has inexplicable negative symptoms after eating.

  • Such a great tool!

    I use the Foodsense app all the time for my own research and for my nutrition clients. It's very well researched, easy to search and comprehensive. Great job!
  • Great app

    I never thought I need an app like this, but a sudden onset of a food allergy, and intolerances to histamines made me down load this.

    It is extremely helpful to be able to know what foods contain histamines as this is all new to me. I don’t know how I’d navigate my current situation without it.

    The app is really straight forward and simple to use. Melanie was very responsive when I needed a clarification on a good type, and will also add in a food that the app didn’t contain.

    This app is very comprehensive for food sensitivities and intolerances. I have found most of what I’m looking for in this app. I would love to see the next level of being able to track symptoms of each food. This is something I have not been able to find in the App Store - something that lists the sensitivities, logs what you ate, and tracks how well they were tolerated (or not). Thank you for creating this.

  • Valuable Info Source

    What Melanie has done has saved me countless hours of research and notes. I am someone who must avoid lectins, have histamine intolerances and a gluten sensitivity. While I eat clean real food I am always making new discoveries on foods that affect me and have to research why, this app will help me quickly identify that particular food. I can also quickly search a particular food and know if it’s in my prohibited group. I find this extremely valuable for me and my health. Thank you!

  • This App has all the things...

    ...you could want to track the compounds in foods that may both you or trigger symptoms. Easy to use and very nearly every food you will ever eat. Great app!
