No support for workers

I have been with ShiftMed for a while now, they don’t care about how reliable you are. They don’t care how many years you’ve been with them they can be very harsh with attendance. Their support line is not good at all. If you contact their chat support, you won’t hear from them for days, they make it difficult to apply and then once you’re okay. Their call line also useless and not helpful and you will get blamed and suspended for not being able to call out while the app glitches and doesn’t allow you to cancel two days before hand. I would never on my own cancel a shift day of knowing how facilities need extra to time to find coverage. They have no support or loyalty to people who work on the app very frequently and has a good rep with facilities on there. Their app is so faulty and allowing me to see shifts as an LPN that I can’t even pick up and then the support getting upset with me because I said why can I even see and try to do a skills evaluation for it if LPN’s can’t do the location. You work with this agency but beware! Pay rates are good which is why I just deal with it.

They’re… ok

A bit harsh and not understanding. I have been dealing with ShiftMed for a few years now. Their cancelation is harsh. 24 hours notice? I mean really life happens. I just canceled a shift 12 hours before it started and still recieved a shift violation. I have multiple violations that weren’t even my fault that’s still up there from YEARS AGO. They don’t clear it so you can start new. Makes it look like I’m not reliable. Not only does the acceptance rate drop but you also you get another shift violation added. Very harsh. Now since my acceptance rate is under 50% I’m not getting the close facilities. It’s like a punishment. They could definitely treat CNA’s better. AND the instant payout used to be 75% now it’s 65%.

Horrible app customer service is of no help

Terrible app and customer service hasn’t got a clue on how to resolve issues in that app. They could careless if you pick up shifts. I can’t pick up shifts because the only option I have on there is to remind me there’s no option to pick up. All of my conversions have been verified and approved every time I try to get help from the customer service they don’t know what I should do. The app is absolutely useless to me. I keep getting to confirm my profile information every time I confirm it. I get a Redbox at pop up at states in a red box - there was an air please close your app and try again. this is the question that I talk to customer service about that can give me no help at all along with the remind me option only instead of being able to pick up shifts

Not a good agency

One of the not so good agencies. First all of it is such an inconvenience to work an orientation shift before you can even pick up any shifts. Also they are so quick to reject documentations and credentials it took me several tries to put in credentials because shift led wanted to keep rejected almost everything I submitted. And what a waste of time is it to go through all of the process to be drug screened and etc to not be able to pick up shifts. Even worse most of their shifts are far way from me. I live in Decatur, ga which is very far from Columbus, ga and warm springs ga instead of them looking for other facilities outside of the Columbus, ga area so their workers could have more variety they offer the same facilities that is no where close to Atlanta and wonder why no one picks up. No one lives near Columbus, ga. I’m sure the facilities aren’t even worth the drive to go all the way there. Also, when u need support the agents take forever to reach you so u do other things then the reach you a week or so later…….. I don’t ShiftMed…

Horrible

I wasted so much time and money trying to get everything I needed verified. First of all onboarding takes forever. There is nobody you can call. Everything refers you back to the chat box which takes forever to speak to an actual human. Even when you talk to a human it’s not much help as the answers they give you are generic. I went through the whole onboarding process and got approved to pick up shift just to find out the shifts I wanted to pick up required atleast 15 more documents and more hoops to jump through including a drug screen, interview with the facility etc. all that would probably take another month. Why couldn’t they have said these were the requirements before hand when I was submitting everything else? ZERO STARS

Onboarding

I have been onboarding quite awhile and finally everything has been verified. Uploaded my BCI receipt good for 60 days. So basically I’m confused and keep getting the bot that has no capacity to answer my question and gives me the wrong options or no space to say what my problem is. I need to speak to a human being . They/ the bot keep sending me or directing me to blogs that have nothing to do with my issue. There are 2 shifts I’ve been trying to pick up in the 3 day window and nothing happens with the claim button .if you are trying to work per diem shifts in a timely manner, this company isn’t it. If your looking for communication you are definitely in trouble. It should never be this hard or frustrating.

They don’t care about nurses.

This App leaves a lot to be desired. First, you only allowed to clock in 5 minutes before your shift starts (they don’t care or understand that you are taking over a shift from another human being who has just worked 12 hours and has been standing on their feet, taking care of many other people’s needs).

Second, there is always trouble with being able to clock in. With my last shift, the app wouldn’t allow me to clock in until 9:30am. This is an unnecessary, extra stress, that no nurse needs. This just goes to show that whoever runs this platform, has never worked a day as a nurse, otherwise they would never allow this.

Third, their help center part leaves a lot to be desired. In my opinion, as soon as a nurse can’t clock into a shift there should be an option to connect to a real person to get the issue resolved as soon as possible, so that the nurse can focus on the patients that they have been hired to take care of.

My advice to other nurses is to find another app because you will work so hard just getting to get your account up and running (they make you upload so much nonsense just to be able to schedule to work that a few times I almost gave up… like needing to upload a recent physical note from my doctor like I was going to camp.. lol)

I’m just looking out for my fellow healthcare workers. Other Apps pay better, too.

Come on ShiftMed!!!! Do Better!!!

If you live in the Wisconsin Milwaukee area, they pay rate is weak for CNA after taxes is junk change don’t even bother signing up for this app it’s trash. I barely work for them and they let me go because I chose to go for other apps that pay way more, the places they send you to is also trash, nurses disrespect you reported to them they do nothing about it they don’t mediate and if you dare speak up for yourself and let the nurses know about themselves, you’ll get penalized and Dnr it’s not worth it. Please do not sign it for this app sign up for other apps. Such as give out, bonus shifts for May to pay up to $23-$30 an hour do research don’t settle for less and definitely don’t settle for this piece of crap

6 Months In

Once I was through onboarding and at the facility everything has been great.

The onboarding piece was a headache. I had been given contact information for someone who acted unprofessional and was not helpful. Months into trying to onboard I was making phone calls myself trying to get things submitted and he messaged to let me know he was doing everything I can and basically laughed at me saying what I was doing was unnecessary.

I randomly got a call one day from someone with Shiftmed (the day after being told I was wasting my time self advocating) who asked if I had considered when I’d like to start picking up shifts. I explained my situation to her and was onboarded within 24 hours. She’s been my point of contact since and I have no complaints. If you’re having a bad experience consider you might just have a lousy point of contact.

A COMPLETE JOKE

I would give zero stars if I could. Myself like others are looking to work agency, as it’s flexible and less stress. I am stressed just trying to complete my onboarding. You have to pay everything out of pocket, which most of us do not have extra funds. I did a screening for another job that the facility paid for and they gave me access to my medical records, so I submitted that to ShiftMed to give them a try. I have been going back and forth since August to be able to pick up shifts and it’s a run around. They say everything is complete then turn around saying I need to submit more documents, I just keep resubmitting the same information than get ran through agent. I had created my account years ago as a new CNA, but was not comfortable giving this a try. My certification in the system is expired and they fail to update it to my current certification, than give me a ring around that I am no longer certified which is false. This has been more of a hassle than anything. Three months to complete onboarding and it’s still a run around when I have provided all the necessary information. This company is disorganized and a joke for the patients that need care.
