  • Lookup their controversy! DO NOT USE!

    Was a great app for a long time, then the new owners decided to screw over every one of their users. One of their recent updates wiped the data of lots of users (luckily some people were able to recover their keys through iCloud backups). Not only this, but in that update they also released a subscription paywall to most of their features, including exporting and importing, making it even harder for people to backup or recover their keys. Luckily this paywall was removed, but it is a sign of the future for this app. If you were affected and you did not have an iCloud backup, there are some methods online that can revert the app back to an old state and recover your key data, it worked for me and might for you too. When and if you recover your info, ditch this app and never look back! Their customer service was also quite poor. The responses were quite prompt, but ultimately useless. Save yourself the stress and download a good app instead!

  • Lost access after update

    The recent update has locked me out of the app. It asks me to enter a recovery password. The app was initially Setup using faceid to unlock with no recovery password option required. I've lost access to several of my accounts now. Worst scenario ever for a security app. Not happy.
  • Deserves negative stars

    The authors of the app deliberately made an update forcing users to pay for this poor software, some users even lost their data forever. Stay away!
  • Shady practices for a security app is a huge red flag

    My fault for not being in the loop about the sale of the app to some questionable company but even so, there should’ve been some sort of statement notifying users of the change and also of the paywall planned.
    Not to mention the terrible QA effort that could’ve easily prevented this from happening, the lack of due diligence shows how much the company cares about the user base. Had been using this app for years, safe to say I’ll be moving to a different app. Lost all my codes as many others but was able to recover some thanks to an old backup on iCloud. Now I have the tedious task to change the OTPs on all the platforms (I used since I don’t trust the app anymore) while also trying to figure out what codes have been lost for good.
    This app is now defunct and the money the company had “invested” in hopes to make profits by selling ransomware has now vanished in the wind

  • Where are my keys?

    After the update the app now treats this as a fresh install and there is no option to restore. The developers have closed discussions and I have to go ask for help from other afflicted users. Unfortunately none of the solutions offered are available to me so I suppose I’m out of luck. Thanks a lot, I suppose an account is truly secure if I’m totally locked out of it with no alternate access methods.

  • Move somewhere else

    As with recent updates, this isn’t a pro-consumer app. I was lucky to have backups, non auto updates, and move away without losing my keys. Someone else I know wasn’t as fortune (might have backups).

    But I, others I know, and hopefully future users reading reviews, will use some other app.

    Do not support this company. Many other options if you follow the right people, sites, forums.

  • Been using for more than 2 years

    Open source, not a scam! I’m sorry that some experienced difficulties with the bug, but no body asked me to pay!
  • Stay away. Untrustworthy. Better options available.

    New owners released a build that wiped out all the codes that were stored in the app. The restore option required a password which luckily I had, others were not so fortunate Useful features are now behind a paywall At this point all trust has been lost. It took a few hours to migrated to another app and reset all my auth codes. Pure greed

    Thanks for the response, but it’s too little too late. There is no going back, ever, you could not pay me to use it again.

    Leaving users stranded without a crucial app to log into their account for an entire day is totally unacceptable.

    Hello there, The issue that occurred a couple of days ago was due to a problem with the storage containers. This issue has been completely fixed with the latest update. As you mentioned, if you had your keys backed up, you will be able to import them with 100% certainty. We are still working around the clock to analyze everything that happened, so this can never occur in the future.   • Oh my

    Had all my pass keys in Raivo, then bang it updated and I have lost access to all of them now. Genuinely disappointed, I mean they had one job. Even if they want to move to a pay model at least have the grace to not screw over existing user’s.

    Wouldn’t recommend.
  • Find another 2FA app

    Was great until the original author sold out.
    New owner decided to push a subscription model via an app update… they bungled the update massively and erased everyones on-device vaults. Eventually they fixed the app enough to allow restore from backup files or sync from icloud, but if you didn’t make backups or sync to icloud, you were still hosed. You don’t want to trust your data to any person or company that let such a catastrophic failure happen, find another 2FA app to trust.

    Dear user, As of July of last year, the app has a new owner. It is important to save your keys in the event of such changes. Following an update, the app now requires signing in with a new provisioning profile, which may have led to the loss of keys. If you used the iCloud sync function or exported your keys while remembering your Masterkey, all your OTP will now be restored. We are actively working to fully grasp the situation and prevent any similar issues in the future.
