New Update from BRPRO WORKS

The new update has fixed all the issues that have been causing cloud issues and things not working for the past 6-8 month. Update 3.18.2. You must update the app on your device and the app on the RV control panel. All the controls work just like they used to over WiFi or Bluetooth now.

Great idea but poor execution

I’ve had my Jayco for a little over 1 year and while it is great sometimes, other times it is laughable. For example, it is great when you can turn the air on 30 minutes before you arrive at your camper or need to turn lights on in the dark before you get there. It is terrible when you’re sitting right outside and can’t get the awning to open or close without moving around like you’re trying to “find a signal” with your phone. The cloud connection has worked pretty well during the time I’ve had it until about a week ago when I could no longer connect to it. The camper has internet access, I’ve logged out and back in on both the panel and my app… it never shows the cloud icon now. One of the few benefits is now no longer available. This could be really nice Jayco, just put a little more polish into it. The app experience is not “production ready” at all.

Poorly executed

This is like playing whack a mole on your phone. Buttons light up then go dark. Awnings are an exercise in frustration because they stop and start all the time. JAYCOMMAND/TravelLINK app on tablet just closes or a force restart is needed. Jayco needs to step up and resolve these issues. If I could give negative stars I would. The app update that gives you tank level updates has significantly slowed the app down. Also if your going to implement that then put in accurate tank sensors. Now apps wont connect to bmpro cloud. Its just one disaster after another

Great product

Have used this for over 3 years no problems. Use it 50 miles away form trailer. All bad reviews probably come from 1st time RVer’s. They should just stay in a hotel

Latest Update is a joke

As if the app wasn’t bad enough before, the latest update is even more laughable. Now the app sends notifications to your phone on tank levels, but only when you actually have the app open and connected (not in the background). That’s not particularly useful since if I have the app open, I can just look at my tank levels. However, when you have crappy tank sensors like many rv’s have your black tank is constantly reading full, you get an alert every time you open the app; also not particularly useful. Same thing happens when you have an empty fresh water tank, which is almost always empty when hooked to full hookups. I was standing at the dump station today, after dumping, and opened the app and it alerts that the black tank is full and the fresh tank is empty. Neither of which are useful notifications.
It’s like the developers of this app have never actually used an rv.

Very Unreliable

Takes forever to connect Bluetooth. Even when it says connected it’s not. Awnings won’t deploy without multiple button pushes. A/C looks like it’s connected and you make a change and it changes right back. The lack of physical switches for everything is concerning to say the least. Can’t acknowledge a warning such as low fresh water so it doesn’t come up when you start the app. TPMS won’t alert on iPhone which renders it completely useless.

Please fix this bug

Can you change the app such that you cannot scroll the screen while you’re pressing the extend/retract button in the motors section? Moving your finger/thumb just a tiny bit removes focus from the button and depresses it forcing you to re-press again and again. This is a very annoying “bug/feature” that will significantly improve the basic functions that many will care about. Imagine if this was a game and you moved your finger 1mm and the action button would stop, that game would not survive the first week!!

Louise Bayliss is responsible

As consumers we continue to hold JAYCO responsible for this highly flawed system that never completely works properly. We need to remember that BMPRO is also responsible. It is their OS and App that is failing. Jayco’s failure is that they continue to use a mediocre program in their poorly built RVs. So shame on them. Louise Bayliss is the CEO of BMPRO and is, as far as many of us are concerned, responsible for those failures of the app. Together one might think that these two multibillion dollar corporations could actually figure out how to create a better program to go in to a better built RV. Sadly we have very little faith in these companies which is why people are pushing away from Jayco. Shame on Dereald Bontrager and Louise Bayliss as well as the CEOs of camping world, blue compass rv, rv one, and every other dealer who sell poorly manufactured products to unknowing customers. They are all responsible. Our jobs as customers is to hold them accountable and stop buying junk.

BMPro is dodo

We bought a Jayco 28.5 rsts fifth wheel in December of 22, as of June 25 of 23 we still have not been able to stay one night in it due to glitches with the Jay command panel disabling all the motors so the slides and awning, and leveling system don’t function!!!! Had it back to the dealer four times now and it works there briefly but by the time we get it home it is not working again! Can’t get in the fridge or cabinets and drawers so can’t stay in it! What a stupid system to put in an Rv that’s supposed to able to go anywhere and provide comfortable living conditions without having to have an internet connection and someone to download another update to get the slides to work! What was wrong with the super reliable analog switches that worked so well for decades? Or why not have them available in a separate panel in case the fancy electronics fail? Guess they never heard the mantra : K.I.S.S, keep it simple stupid!! In any case, don’t waste your time and money on a Jayco as they are now made by Thor, not like before when the Amish were the ones who made them! Corporate dweebs have thoroughly screwed up the system and the brand is being damaged by the over engineered direction they are going!! What a shame!
