Doesn’t work on IPhone
Like the title says. Couldn’t get it to work. Thanks for trying.
Works as promised on iOS
Updated: initially couldn’t get this to work for Safari on iPhone. It’s the first iOS Safari extension I’ve ever installed, after living with iOS for a decade. Then I realised I needed to click the puzzle piece icon in the url bar and select Accelerate, in order to use it on a specific video. And it works exactly as advertised. So grateful for this.

Doesn't do what it says on the Tin.
This app, whilst functional is overly confusing
It would be far better if you could set the button to switch between 1 and 1.5x playback speed.
2x can be too fast, and going up in 0.25x increments is tedious and overly long to go round the loop.
Setting the Minimum to 1 and maximum to 2 doesnt work as expected.
Good idea, but its too fidly for what it is.

Hi, you can set a shortcut's playback speed to 1.5x and the increments for changing speed in Accelerate's preferences. Please see the FAQ for details on how to do so: https://ritam.me/projects/accelerate/faq/

Works as expected. Great free app.
Global control is awesome. Something that I didn't know I needed coming from Windows!
Accelerates faster than 2.0x, good privacy policy
This is a great Safari equivalent to "Video Speed Controller" in Chrome, and can speed up videos to faster than 2.0x via keyboard shortcuts. The critical review I read about privacy overlooked the developer's privacy policy, listed in the app description and on the website.
No longer shows the current speed (Update: new UI makes it hidden
The new update doesn't show the speed (like 2.5x in black bar) that it used to
Update: 5/5 for the prompt response and the new feature set. Great app!

Hi RishabSwift, notifications are now configurable per shortcut. You can enable the notification for a shortcut by double-clicking it in the Accelerate preferences shortcuts list and toggling the checkbox "Show notification".
Perfect
Ignore my last review, I found that you can turn ON/OFF the speed change notifications without pressing V.
One of the most valuable extenstions I use!!!

Lack of smooth transition
This works great. However, as the speed is increased transition is not smooth. There is a slight pause in the video which is annoying.
