  • Locked Playlists Behind Subscription

    I’ve used this app for a long time and enjoyed it even despite its bugs, crashes, and monetization. Today without warning they locked playlists behind a subscription and unlocked individual songs as alarm options. Before it was albums and songs locked away I believe and playlists were permitted for free. Now it’s just the songs.

    The playlist feature doesn’t work as it’s supposed to either. I had mine on shuffle for years and it would almost never change the song I’d wake up to. I’d get the same song for 2 months straight and suddenly get something different out of the blue to spice things up. In the beginning it worked for like a week and then after that it just went to a one song rotation but I didn’t mind because it was free. I was just grateful to have the option and possibility to get a new song to pop up when I’d put it on Discover Weekly.

  • Interfering with Daily Life

    This app was amazing when it was starting up last winter! However, in recent months it has no functioned as intended. To elaborate on this, when trying to be up for very important events or daily routines I will sometimes sleep through them or awake late due to the app never sounding an audible alarm!

    This has been happening for weeks or even months, and most times it’s the iPhone alarms that wake me up (not always though; these have been finicky every so often, but still more reliable than this god forsaken app)!

    You all have strayed from the path of reliability and it is affecting the lives of most who use this app; this is unacceptable and ridiculous at best!

  • Disappointed by the app change

    My review was 5/5 for the longest time but I now sadly have to update it. This was an app for waking up to music, but now it’s for white noise for going to sleep… Why? This feels like a bait and switch.

    I have a lifetime membership from being an early adopter from before it was called Morning and loved being able to wake up to music. I don’t understand why they out of nowhere changed the purpose of the app to sleep instead of just making a new app.

    They have also been teasing support for Apple Music “coming soon” for ages now, but it clearly never will come. The one kudo I have is that the support team is great - it’s just too bad they ruined their product instead of just making a new one.

  • LOVE ITTTT

    i love this app so much. i’m a very heavy sleeper and it’s near impossible to wake me up, but this app never fails! if i could recommend the devs something though, it’s that i love all the new options for sleep sounds, but it really helps me to fall asleep to music. (instrumental, piano, book reading study music type deal 🤷🏼‍♀️) anyway love the app but would like more musical options 🙏💕💕

  • Great development and work

    The attention to the community and listening to feedback has set this alarm above others I’ve tried! I’ve been with them for more than 3 years and they have done me right every step of the way, from fixing a bug within the day, to supporting their patrons from the beginning. Love yall and so proud of how much you’ve improved!!

    so i absolutely love this update it’s literally amazing. also love the fact that i got a free subscription that kinda lets people know that their reviews were heard and obviously paid attention to bc a lot of the thing we’ve requested has made it into the update (and some of the things i wanted r coming soon so) thx for the update and little gift! - angel

    EDIT ok guys so i sent an email abt this but like I CANT AFFORD NIGHT PLUS (also im srry for calling it Sleep instead of Night idk) AND IM SO FREAKING SAD ABT IT. LITERALLY SOBBING CROCOGATOR TEARS RN.

    but also, WAAY back in update 2.4.3 (or smth like that) in like, Feb of 2023, u said that u could use ur camera roll to wake up. now, i can’t test this at the moment bc i don’t have access to the app bc im broke BUT i can say that i have tried to in the time between Feb 2023 and now, and it doesn’t work. PLEASE HELP ME!!! -PRETZEL (angel)

  • WAAY BETTER THAN THE APPLE WEATHER APP!!!

    This app is my savior. I was searching and searching for a good weather app because the Apple weather app just wasn't cutting it either there horrible ringtones, and eventually I come across this app. It has changed the way I wake up drastically, I feel way better waking up to my music then apples ringtones. Thank you Night app!!!!

    Lot’s of complaints from the most recent updates this year, but their customer service is fantastic and they have been working hard to make sure the customers like me who have been using the app since it was called “Morning” are happy. Apparently because of some legal issues they had to change the focus of the app and at the time I was very unhappy with the changes. I immediately reached out with my complaints. They responded pretty quickly to my concerns and promised that they were working to fix them. They certainly delivered on their promise - I now use this app every night again and I’m quite happy with it

  • Phone volume automatically turned to zero

    I have enjoyed using this app for quite a while. But recently noticed that when the alarm is set, phone volume is forced to zero and there is no way to disable this feature or override it that I can find in settings. As a result I missed several important calls from my daughter who needed assistance in the middle of the night while recovering from a surgical procedure. This feature should be optional and users should have to enable it if they want. Forcing this functionality without alerting users first creates potentially serious situations if calls/texts cannot be received while using the app.

This feature is intended to ensure silent nights for those who want to wake up with Spotify without using a sleep sound, but we understand it can cause problems. It is totally optional, it's only enabled when you choose the "Silence" sound and it only lowers the "music volume", not the "notifications volume".   • Cares about their fan base

    The app has come a long way. I’ve been using for quite some time now and they are amazing. Any issues reported and some that aren’t, are fixed very quickly. Honestly I stopped using traditional alarm clocks. This is the only thing I use now and it’s perfect. I wake up in a good mood everyday bc I get to select my own music to wake up to.
