Scanning for devices doesn’t work
I have to scan at least 20 times before my Trimlight shows up despite being connected. Would be nice if you could manually add the IP instead of scanning each time.
App Feature
I love my lights but would like the ability to set a number of patterns and set the app to scroll through them. Also, when I select the white, it’s a light blue and not a true white light. I would also like to be able to control them away from home or via internet. A stronger signal WiFi so it can stay connected without having to re-add the device every time I have to open the app. If these improvements could be made, I’d be thrilled.

Hardware is great, software could use improvements
The lights themselves work great. They’re bright and all the colors look good. The software needs some help though. Often my phone can’t connect to the control box. The control box is connected to Wi-Fi yet you can’t connect to it when you’re away from your home (in other words: no connecting to it over the internet). Yes you can program the lights but the programming system needs some work. Also, I’d like to see some more modes such as “random” or “twinkle”. Also I’d like to be able to have a mode where I can sync the lights to a song I play on my phone or iPad.

Lack of support for modern WiFi
Was really upset to have the installers “break the news” to me that the Trimlight would not work with modern or newer WiFi networks like Orbi or Google Home, AFTER they completed the install and took my money. Seriously disappointed when I am told, “ oh yeah, you’ll need to find an old single band WiFi router/extender to get this to work on WiFi.” I feel this product is a rip off with no support.

App doesn’t crash but iPhone 11pro still won’t find system
The app stays open now but on iPhone 11 Pro the app doesn’t detect the system so it’s useless. All older iPhones in the house still work.
Great product
We loved our Trimlight so much that we purchased it for our new house. We have the updated app. My husband no longer has to climb up & down ladders. The options in lighting seems limitless. Going to enjoy changing for each holiday.

Trim light is awesome! If your thinking of purchasing holiday lights they are the best! The lights look so good on our home . Great customer service and the installers were great, very friendly and helpful. We feel the price was right with Trim lights and we did compare with other companies. Trim lights have lots of houses where they have installed their lights so you can see their product before purchasing. That helped to sell them to us. We are very satisfied.
