App works but needs functionality
Need to tell anyone with mesh network the channel on there 2.5 band needs to be set to 11 or higher I believe this is what fixed my Orbi.
The hardware from Trimlight is great but the software has been sitting stagnant for to long.
Schedules need to have option to change patterns throughout the same day. A randomizer setting that changes between saved themes.
Being able to set a schedule at night and in morning on same day.
Sharing saved layouts.
Music integration.
More preloaded themes.

App is terrible
This app must of been written by a 3 year old 15 years ago when the first app was ever created. All of the other reviews of people raving how amazing the app is are complete liars and they must be either family or friends of the local installers.
The calendar is the worst thing ever it’s not intuitive at all. Who designed this? You should be fired!!
I have an amazing light system on my house. I can pick from millions of different colors but I can’t change the colors of my lights or turn them on or off if I’m not connected to my local Wi-Fi? No Cloud control??? So when I’m out in the middle of the street trying to get a good view of my house while creating a lighting scene I can’t, because my Wi-Fi doesn’t reach 150 feet out into the culdesac.
What century do we live in?
All these positive reviews about the app are a complete crock and I would not pay attention to any of them. Trimlights until you can fix your app and Make it so the light controller can connect to the cloud you don’t even deserve one star unfortunately the minimum is one star.
Oh did I mention my brother has one of the competitors and he has all sorts of different custom pre-created scenes like superheroes holidays etc. I have a half a dozen pre-created scenes big whoop!!!!

Add insult...
Really great app love the lights however, it would be nice if there was more choices or you could take some of the preset patterns and change the colors to colors that you want because some of the designs are really cool I just don’t like the colors that is built in. If they could do that that would be totally perfect

We love our lights... Thanks to the crew from West Jordan. Johny, Tony and the rest of the crew were top notch!!
Great app but please keep updating it
Suggestions:
1) the built in patterns you are taken to when you connect are cool, and even though you can save them to your library, you can’t edit them - it would be awesome if we could edit them
2) keep making more patterns and provide the ability to download them
3) allow your customers to share patterns they have made
4) consider ways to tie the schedule inside the app to the IOS calendar so I can see what is scheduled without having to be home and connect to the device
5) consider even letting us use the IOS calendar to create the light schedule
6) make some new styles - the built in ones are cool (I really love comet) but new ones will help you keep up with your competitors - IE: lighting

App will not connect to WiFi
The lights and installation are beautiful, but the app is terrible. You have to connect it every single time you want to adjust your lights, but mostly it just does not connect at all. It spins on “configure” mode and then times out. We’ve tried resetting everything and still no luck. Super unhappy with the price we paid for these lights only to have the technology associated with them not work.

Trimlight
We absolutely love our Trimlights. We are able to celebrate each holiday with the lights of our choice. On a evening to evening basis we light up our home how we like.
Awesome Calendar Settings!
Love that I can schedule out the whole year without even looking at the app again. The family assumes I take the time to set it up for B-days, events, and random holidays... but the truth is I just set it all up one night. Love how many options there are!
App works exactly as expected!
This app works exactly as expected and described with the Trimlight controller systems. It is easy to understand, navigate, program, and set pattern schedules.
I do wish it could do the following:
- Sunset to Sunrise scheduling options
- Ability to sequence multiple preconfigured patterns within a schedule
