Impossible to check out
This app was working very well until last summer. All of a sudden, each time I tried to go to check out and pay for my order, I got an error message. They don’t take orders by phone, and the « Checkout » button on the website is just frozen for me. I don’t know how other people place their orders, but staying in the freezing restaurant for 20 minutes until my order is completed is not fun. Please upgrade the app! Thank you!

More then one credit card
Please add the feature to be able to store multiple credit cards within the app. This is especially important for my family because when I’m buying myself a bowl I would like to pay with my credit card but when I’m buying bowls for my whole family, I would like to use our Joint credit card.
Convenience fee
I don’t have many issues with this app and I love my local store but I do think it’s wild that in 2024 they charge a convenience fee to order ahead 😩 it’s only 50 cents but still, when my order is $8 and extra 50 cents makes a difference especially because I always tip them, I’d rather that money go towards a tip. I think it’s more convenient for them too when I order ahead and don’t add to the line but whatever

Punished for having an allergy
The app now doesn’t allow you to swap out foods that you’re allergic to for something that you can actually have, instead it charges you for it. I’m just trying to get gluten free granola, and they want to charge an extra dollar when I’m already taking off the regular granola? It’s ridiculous and too expensive at this point to have anything from this store when they punish you for having an allergy.

Worst app ever
This app is so trash even with the updates. I remember why I deleted it the first time I downloaded it. I had an account previously and could not log back into it. I could not reset my password after 5 attempts or successfully log in. I had to resign up using a different email which I did not prefer. Additionally the app experience is very tragic and very slow. Multiple reloads needed, slow processing time though it times you out quickly, easily crashes, and charges you a convenience fee even though it it more inconvenient to order this way. Only positive is that it has the options nicely laid out with pictures.

LOVE Playa, but app needs improvement
i love playa bowls and the rewards program!! i really do, but the app is not good. it logs me out frequently and sometimes will load forever when i try to log back in
it also doesn’t allow you to save credit card info, which defeats the purpose. i prefer to just use my card and the tablet when i order

Awful app experience
If you have app expectations from the days of the first iPhone, you'll be very satisfied. If you have used other apps more recently, be prepared for one of the more frustrating experiences around. The app takes forever to load, even on wifi, has inconsistent time outs and errors... If I wanted to actually save time ordering, I would have called the location directly. By some miracle my order actually processed, but I'm not sure I'll deal with this ordeal again. Only gets 2 stars because of the reward offer for new account... Otherwise it would have been 1.

Order Still in Progress?
Let me start by saying, I actually love this place. Their bowls and smoothies are DELICIOUS. However, an order I placed 2 weeks ago still says ‘In Progress’ and it won’t allow me to place any more orders. My last order I placed through DoorDash, which was fine, because I wanted to give them time to respond to my emails or calls, but it’s been complete radio silence, and I’m missing out on points, which is kind of a big deal for how expensive this place is. So now I'm trying to place a review in hopes that someone will be able to help.

Can’t Save Card Info
The biggest problem with this app is being unable to save credit card info. I have to enter it every time, which can be very inconvenient when I’m in a rush. There are times when I would like to place an order but don’t have my credit card handy, so I just skip the order entirely. By not allowing credit cards to be stored with a profile, Playa Bowls is losing business from customers in a hurry.
