Good app
I find the app good, the functionality is good, works well. Bad points it logs you out after so long and you have to type your email and password you can’t use Face ID.
Can’t Connect My New Boiler
I have just had an Ideal Vogue Max fitted and have spent 2hrs trying to connect it to the app. The light on the boiler says it’s connected but but screen is just stuck on ‘trying to connect’. I did get as far as selecting my WiFi on one occasion just to be told there was on internet connection, funny when I had connection on everything else that uses the internet! Not a good start Ideal.

Temperamental
The ideal halo app is such a good idea especially as the thermostat in the house is so difficult to control!
When working, the app enables me to control the heating in the house whilst away to make sure it is warm when we get home!
However, I have to reset it every two weeks as it just stops which is useless! There doesn’t seem any way round this , I just have to reinstall the app! What a nuisance!!!

What a shambles
Why o why can’t you just leave well alone, since the latest update, supposed to be able to set 6 heating Settings, oh no you can’t, only 4, constantly saying poor wifi,smart interface can’t connect, we’ve got sky ultra fast fibre Broadband , can get over 90mbs at the bottom of the garden, even sky had a laugh at that, and also have 2 ziggbee boosters as well, think your app developer needs to go back to the drawing board,Halo was a great product. Still is, but what’s the point in a smart thermostat, when the app don’t work

Geolocation ruined by an update.
Since the new app came along I can no longer use geolocation in conjunction with my schedule. If I do, the heating just turns off. It won’t stay on Auto. The simple schedule isn’t enough as no one wants the heating on all day with current prices.
The old app did this properly. I had my daily schedule for morning and evening heating and if I went out, it turned off.

New app is terrible
Since the new update and new version of the app, I have no end of problems. The latest for some reason in a Sunday only it by passes turning of in the morning and stays on til the next scheduled turn off in the afternoon. I can’t change the or adjust the schedule I get the timed out message. Your online chat people are useless blaming the halo device when it’s clearly the app, yet apparently no one has complained about the app as of yet!

App update has gone backwards
Your app worked fine until the most recent update which changed the user interface for the worse in my opinion. Adding an extra step to change boiler temperature is not needed. I just want to open the app and instantly be able to set the temperature. I don't want to navigate through anything else to get there.

The updated version is much better
In the old version of the app, it used to be a bit buggy, but now the new update makes the software look cleaner and more smooth. Haven’t seen any bugs so far but will continue to look. Overall, great update, the app is a great way to control our heating.
Old app was better
The new app hasn’t simplified the operation at all. For example on the old app it launched into the temperature page which is what most people will want to use. Now it goes to a dashboard. When you change modes (Off, Auto, On) the older app had nice big clear buttons, now the page looks like a survey you have to read through and make you selection. Not happy with the new design at all. Remember, people generally just want to get in and out, and it should be as easy as using the thermostat device. Also, I would have expected a brand new update to have a widget for the home screen. Very disappointing and no way back to the old version.

Since updating
Had nothing but trouble since updating the app. Can’t see what the current temperature is as it’s off the screen and trying to sort the winter temperature schedule out and keeps throwing it back saying it’s times out
