It’s a lot of fun
I spend so much time in this app coming up with and making more and more dynamic shortcuts. I love having app icons and widgets across all of my devices that specifically make my life easier. It’s super easy to share or download new shortcuts too, so I send some of my favorites to my family, or help them come up with shortcuts that they need. Power users can get a few apps that extend or take Shortcuts further, meaning you can do basically anything you can imagine. I wonder how far we can take this once Apple Intelligence and new Siri features take it to the next level. I highly recommend getting started with this app and tinker away. Keep in mind — it WILL drain your battery if you are throwing together lots of tasks and getting into more power-user level shortcut creation. I recommend plugging in your device while you really get into scripting and using FILES for updates because testing and troubleshooting complicated shortcuts just takes a lot of juice.PolarBearTC
Shortcuts are Big Brain
Using shortcuts you can automatically open URLs! Go to shortcuts app and click the plus in the top right. Then, click “All Options” and scroll all the way down and look for “Open URLs” After that click on that option and select a URL and you can open that URL just by going to the app. Additionally, you can add that shortcut, to open a URL, to your home screen! There are a lot more functions with shortcuts so look around. There’s an option to power off your phone and you can set that based off time. Also, you can turn do not disturb on or off based on time, alarm, and even other shortcuts. Shortcuts is really versatile and I’m pretty sure that, if you’re smart and try hard enough, you can even change your brightness automatically based off just time.London Bleikely Nelson
Dislike your shortcuts
It used to work pretty simple. I just hit my favorite “remove the background” from a pic and you get a choice to copy and you could the go to another app that allows you to paste and then you have pic minus the background that can be added. You have screwed up the whole process to where I can’t even go into my pic albums and select what pic I want. The menus look like you let a 6th grade student have a ball with making a simple project very complicated and unusable. You just made a simple process so complicated that it is unusable. I have spent a couple of days with the shortcut to remove the background from a pic and to allow the pic to then be pasted wherever I want and there is no way that I can find to do that. In spite of the publicity about Taylor’s pics, all I wanted to do was to put my grandkids in my boat that had been restored in 2016. But it seems I can’t do that anymore. A month or so ago this worked great. What has happened???Bonky123
