Worst app ever
The fire is great, but without a decent app to use the fire it’s completely pointless. It NEVER connects so I can’t use the heater or change the flames. Please do us a favour and upgrade your apps performance, do some load and connection testing! We’re paying a fortune for the fires, it’s ridiculous that we can’t use them properly. It’s the worst app I’ve ever used!

Poor connectivity
Really hit and miss connecting to the fire. Since the last update it got worse, despite the update claiming it would improve connectivity.

The app is poor. Very unreliable to connect the fire and does not work any anything but a very simple home network.
I’ve deleted the app after I figured out you can access the fire directly from a browser as long as you know the IP address. I’ve configured my network to reserve the IP assigned and created a shortcut, so works exactly the same as the app, apart from I can host the fire in a separate subnet and route traffic from allowed devices.

Easy to use, but unreliable
I love the fire, and the app is simple and easy to use. Problem is, the app rarely connects to the fire meaning constantly switching the fire on and off at the mains, restarting the app over and over again until it syncs. But go back to it an hour later, it’s dropped out again. What a shame. I hope the app developers can fix this or it will spoil what is a lovely fire.

If only I’d known how crap this app was
Bought a lovely looking fire! Well built looks great! Got to be the crappest app ever made, you have to connect to its own WiFi which disables your phone or tablet from anything other than fire controls, if you log out then heat goes off! Will be returning expensive fire, not fit for purpose! When did a simple on / off switch not work effectively?

Looks good, controls are rubbish
Unless you want to buy a handset costing a fortune, control is via an App. PROBLEM will only work from one phone so if my wife is out I freeze unless we preplan our day around a darn fire.
Not impressed
Like everyone else, expensive fire, WIFI connection unpredictable. Only had it 2 weeks. Very frustrating

The tablet that comes with the fireplace must’ve cost Evonic around 10 pence. It rarely connects to the fireplace and is the only way of turning it on and adjusting the settings, what’s wrong with a remote control?! The battery life is also atrocious, you’ll find it either dead or on charge.
I wish I’d listened to the reviews on here before purchasing because they’re all spot on with their criticism.

Temperamental
Only connects to the internet about half of the time if your lucky, you’d think all the money they charge for the fires they’d have a more reliable app 😐
All but useless.
Poorly designed, clunky operation. Very temperamental. Timer works for a day or two then stops. Can not control fire from another property which I need to be able to do (disabled relative). Very disappointed up to now.
