Amazing App
I absolutely love this app. I am an avid reader and love to collect my favourite books (which is quite a few) and also a teacher. This app helps me keep everything in order and stops me forming buying any double ups. I also use it to store my teaching resources. Great resource and I recommend it to several other teachers as a means to keep track of what you have.Show lessReader-Em1998
Best of the Lot
I’m convinced I’ve tried every available similar library app available on the AppStore, and Bookshelf is the best of the lot, by far. The interface is clean and elegant, the app is easy to use, and the responsiveness and overall design makes it obvious it was designed by book lovers. Does everything you would want from a book tracking app
You can track spending, when you read a book, pages read, when you purchased a book, number of copies of a single book, whether it’s signed, if you have lent out a book and you can even have multiple shelves for different bookcases for further consolidation. Does everything a book app should!
From keeping tracks of books you own, have read, and want to read; it goes beyond by letting us add our notes!! Love being able to track progress and how many times I’ve read, who I’ve lent to or received from. Thank you!
Originally had a 5 star, but sadly had to change to 4 star when realized two things.
1) although generous character limit, I dislike that a character limit exists for my notes/thoughts on the book
2) it should allow us to edit how many actual pages are in the book. I don’t read “sources” pages, so it shouldn’t be incorporated in the total pages so there can be more accurate progress percentages.Show lessJackykeegs503
Amazing free app
As a free app it’s amazing. It’s saved me so much money from buying duplicates and getting rid of books that I no longer wanted that I forgot I had in the first place. It allows you to add dates read and whether or not it’s a signed addition. The only thing more I would ever ask from this app is the worth of the book addition but it’s a free app and better then I hoped it would be.Show lesskhosway

I ran across this app from a mention by someone on Facebook. Figured it couldn’t hurt to try it. I’m so glad I did. It is, for the most part, easy to use. It allows me to organize and catalogue all my books and then sift through them electronically, preventing myself from buying anymore duplicates. I’m surprised there are so few ratings for the app, but don’t let that scare you. It’s definitely worth it.Show less5000thtryforanickname
Great app for keeping track of books
I love this app. I needed one that would easily catalogue my books so I knew what I had. It is very easy to add titles and you can add shelves to further sort your books. I did not need an app to keep track of my reading; as a book lover I read all the time. This is the best app I have found for free and easily does what I need, with no limit on the number of books I add! (so far)Show lesspeptessmom

I enjoy using Bookshelf to track what books I have read and my progress and put them onto bookshelves to categories them. Not every book or edition is shown in the library but you can easily add your own and upload the cover of your copy.Eliza KC

Great concept but requires an online account. Privacy issues mean “no go” - there’s enough other data harvesting applications…
Why does the content of our library need to be uploaded?

Thanks for your feedback. We are a small team of only 2 people, working enthusiastically on the Bookshelf app in our spare time. Because of that we really care about your experience and feedback. We don't harvest any data. Your data is securely stored on our servers and it's linked to your account, only visible to you. We don't share data with any third parties. Having your data online allows you to change your mobile phone or even mobile platform and you can then just install the app and sign in without losing your data.Just what I needed
This app has been just the most simplest and practical way for me to help organise and track my books. I haven’t had to enter many books manually and I love that I can set it up to suit me and not another person!
