  • Just what I needed

I have an extensive library and was running into issues purchasing duplicate books which was irritating. When I’m out and about and can’t check my shelves this app has been a lifesaver. My only critique is that I wish, when alphabetizing titles, that starter words were left out - A and The being the greatest occurrences.

  • Love it!

I love this app! It makes it so much easier to keep a record of what books I own, meaning I can quickly check what I already have while I’m browsing in a bookstore. No more putting books aside or scrolling through pictures of the books I own, it’s now all in one handy app!

Thanks for the great review Molly 🙂
  • Pretty Good

It is user friendly. While it may scan and find a book via its ISBN, it doesn’t always have an image of the cover. It will not allow you to take a photo and save the image I. This case, however if you enter all the data on the book without scanning the ISBN, you are then allowed to save a photo of the cover. Hopefully this can be solved in a future app update. My needs are pretty basic—I only want to track the books I own and use for calligraphy and cooking so this serves the purpose.

  • Must Have for Book Lovers

Absolutely amazing app, very user friendly, I love that you can set up your own bookshelves to show where everything is. I love this app so much that I spend all day yesterday scanning all my books in (only 4 didn’t scan)

I do have a couple of suggestions though:
    - I know someone else commented about having a word count and the developer responded saying that the databases they gather the book info from don’t have that information. My suggestion is a box where we can add the word count manually, if we know it, somewhere in the notes section?
    - I like that you can pick your currency and add how much you bought the book for, but I have bought a lot of books while on holiday so I was wondering if you could add a box that says country purchased to then have different currencies depending on where you bought it or just be able to pick the currency per book?

  • So easy to keep track of my books!

I love this app. It’s so easy to add titles to my ‘bookshelf’ and keep track of what books I have. You simply scan the barcode on your book (or enter the title/author), and it automatically appears. A picture of the cover usually pops up, but if not, you can add your own. It shows all associated data, such as edition, publisher, year of release, etc.
You can label your bookshelves to categorise what’s in your library, allowing you to search later to find exactly what you need. You can search by subject, keywords, title, author and so on.
This really is an essential app for all book-lovers!

  • Every book lover should download the Bookshelf app!

This app is phenomenal! Using it is easy and there are so many options! Plus it’s FREE! I can add the books I own, save books to my “wishlist”, note if I let someone borrow books, etc. That way I ALWAYS have my current book list and my future book list, in case I find myself in a book store and have a “did I already buy this” moment or a “is this on my list” moment or “what’s the next in the series” moment!! And if I lend someone a book and I can’t remember who or when it was, I can just check my Bookshelf app! There’s even an option to Explore other top-rated/new books and if you find something you like, it’s easy to just click and add it to your Wishlist!

  • Such a wonderful book tracking app

I have been looking for an app that I can track the books I own along with the ones I want to own/finish out a series. This is the perfect app! I love that I can do both those things. It was so easy to batch scan all my books into the app. Now, when I go to book stores I know exactly what books I have and what ones I am looking for!

  • Best App ever

I have a ton of books, and keeping them organized was always a chore. And if I forgot my written list I always bought a book a second time. Well not anymore, all my books are neatly cataloged and I can look them up in a snap. I also love the option that has the series name on you entry and you will never read a book out of sequence again. Thank you so much for this wonderful app and making a book work very happy

  • Fantastic

This app is, quite frankly, the best bookshelf app I’ve used to date. So far, no book limit (I’m over 300 catalogued books), and like literally the only thing that’s locked for Bookshelf is advanced notes.
Only irritation is that it does not work without internet or data, but that’s normally a nonissue. (would be really freaking cool if you got an ebook with each scanned copy though). 10/10, would absolutely recommend.

  • Great!

I love this app as it has many features I can’t find on similar apps. I enjoy being able to keep track of all my books, reading progress, etc. I gave the app 5 stars as it is fairly new but there are a few things I think they could add that would improve the experience for all.

Adding or editing the amount of pages -
Some books don’t have the same amount of pages listed as my physical copy and it makes it a little tougher to track my progress. Some books don’t even have the amount of pages listed at all. I think a good fix to this would be allow each individual to put in the amount of pages on their own as you would with the price and what not so that it is tailored to each individuals books/preferences.

Allowing the option to organize by reading progress-
It is hard to track my reading progress with certain books as I add new books to my bookshelf. For example, I am reading a book right now and it’s all the way at the bottom with my older books. I think any books in the process being read should be at the top and ordered by the amount of progress (e.g. 60%, 10%, etc.)

Even without these additions, it is still a very good app that I would recommend to others.
