SO so

Appears that when you enter a new workout (ie Workout 1) on a different day it overrides the previous data. Unless I am doing something wrong 🤔

Does Not Record your previous color bands

The app is a good idea but it does needs a lot of work. The app does not record the color band correctly for past workouts. Any workout that I go back to review to see progress only shows the color band and rep value that you are correctly on. I know I started at one band color with a certain exercise but it only shows the current color I am on when I go back. The only way to save my sanity is looking at the review progress part of the app. It showed the correct band color and rep value from the past. Very difficult to see your progress if going into each individual workout.

Thanks for letting us know! Our most recent update has addressed this issue!

Past Workouts appear broken

I have only been using the app for a few days, and after entering a second “Workout 1” workout, my first “Workout 1” shows the same numbers, band, etc. as my most recent workout. Since it’s showing wrong numbers, I have no idea how I can trust the “increase in force production” statistic from reviewing my progress.

Also, I don’t see anyway to change the workout time, which neither populated correctly from my phone’s time nor is allowed to be edited or entered manually. It’s just 12AM for no reason.

A couple of minor fixes would make this simple app much more useful. As is... the only real use I can see for it is “what did I do last workout?” to inform me when I should move up a band.

Amazing App, Needs Minor Adjustments

I love the app and how it is structured but I have one suggestion on making this app even better:

Add in three extra workout options besides the main two you can choose from. Two where the crossover and split squats are programmed into the workout. And add one also where the upright row is not part of the program because for some reason after the first week, the upright row is no longer part of the workouts.

Other than that, this is an awesome tool to customize your workouts with the X3.

Thanks for the feedback! We loved your suggestion have have implemented it! In the settings section you can now choose between the Front Squat and the Split Squat, as well as between the Overhead Press and the Upright Row. You can also enable/disable the Pectoral Crossover so that the workouts in the app better match your actual workouts! Let us know what you think!

Very simple which aids in habit forming consistency

I don’t often review apps I appreciate, I’ve decided to rate this app because it’s so simple, it makes the X3 Bar routine more enjoyable, it helps me visualize a number to break into, each time I attempt a new workout.

I do wish there was a visual graph of what I’m likely pushing through in lbs., that would be a fun addition to this app.

Dr. J, what are your thoughts on adding pull aparts?

There is a great community on Facebook for the X3, it’s a great system. Try it.

Easy To Use.....Just One Flaw

You couldn’t make this app any easier to use. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is one flaw, the upright rows aren’t included in workout 2, they’re only listed in the All section.

Punished for early adoption

Why aren’t all 12 weeks in there? Plus ability to add it remove exercises for each week? But what really bugs me is that you can’t edit or select band color. In the videos? He often uses blue and green bands. That’s what I have. No option for selecting blue or green. WHAT?

Needs tweaking

Good app, but would be better to go to one screen and see names of each workout on same screen instead of having to search them separately. Also, would be great to be able to tie it in with Apple Watch so can get better credit for workouts.

Better than it’s been

Loving the simple improvement of picking the workout once and then just filling in all the exercise numbers at once. Some issues: why is “Upright Row” an exercise under “All Workouts” but not available in either of the individual ones? Also, I can’t make sense of the Review Progress if I mix an “All Workouts” in with the others. Lastly, hitting the Tab key within an input field on a keyboard (iPad Smart Keyboard) instantly crashes the app.

Hi Jeff! We've updated the app so that you can select in the settings section whether you want to perform the Upright Row or the Overhead Press. For most users we recommend sticking with the overhead press unless you have a preexisting injury that won't allow you to perform that exercise. The review progress page is now sorted by exercise so you can either see your PR's for all exercises on the "Total" page, or you can select an individual exercise from the dropdown to see your full history and progress for that lift! Are you still experiencing crashing when using the Tab key?

Great start!

Great start! Really love this app. I actually prefer this one to the other x3 tracker because you can track total workout effort as well....that is after I figured out the GUI. It isn’t super intuitive.

On the workout progress screen it needs to be obvious that the “total” at the top is a button.

I’d love to see support for stacking bands. That’s a big missing feature.

I also would love this to connect to the health app so that I can track my total health if I mix X3 with specific other training.

Thanks!
