  • Best. App. Ever.

I love this app so much. I have tried my fair share of novel-planning apps, and this is the one I always prefer to use. It is so user-friendly, and makes all parts of planning out your story a breeze. Specifically: it is amazing for character planning. It has so many suggestions for character details, helping to make characters complex and realistic, while keeping it from being overwhelming by separating them into tabs for easy access.

  • Issue that needs addressed

App is very useful and I have found it to be extremely good for keeping information organized. I paid for the pro version and I have no regrets it is well worth the low price. However; there is one issue I’ve noticed. I have multiple projects going at once, as I have several storylines planned that I would like to write. To help me keep track of what people look like, I’ve taken advantage of ai art programs and the fact that this app allows you to add a picture to each person’s profile as if they are contacts on your phone, and I’ve got a picture of each of my fictional characters. For one project. I went to add pictures of the characters on my second project and found that the pictures I’d added to the first project had assigned themselves in order of creation to the characters in all my projects. I’ve also found that when I add new characters on a different project, if there are less characters on that project than I have supplied pictures for, it will assign a picture to newly created characters as if I want them to be the same as in my other project. I can work around this by adding all the characters from all my projects to all my other projects, which actually isn’t that big of a deal as I intended for some to cross over, but it is a problem and will be more of one if I end up starting another project after I’ve created a lot of characters on my others already. I hope this is fixed at some point.

  • Good but one big flaw

Good app, enjoyed using it thoroughly until I realised I had to pay to upgrade to add more than three characters 😭😭 deleted out of sudden rage, realised I had a bunch of info for a character on there, redownloaded again only to find all the info gone completely 🧍 Great app probably but oh my god if I see one more app lock half its content behind a paywall I will scream
likely will not re-download and probably not recommend to anybody
You could blame my anger problems for this but also why would you lock adding characters behind a paywall—

However I will say that the prompts given in the app are very good and if not for that big screw up I would have given it probably 4 or even 5 stars

  • It’s good for one at a time…

I notice when I want to start a new project, the images for characters or locations are copied onto my other projects, and when I change it back, it also changes the picture on the other one
I have premium and I thought that would make a difference but it didn’t
The only issue I have with this app is the weird duplicating photos. It doesn’t allow you to keep things completely separate as their own, without bleeding into another profile
It’s sort of frustrating, but maybe it will be resolved with time
For now, I’ll stick with one project. It works fine otherwise

  • Wth

Only allowed to make 1-3 characters then you have to pay? Tf
  • Good but need to pay

The app works really well, it gives good prompts to relate the characters to each other and storyline. Overall the way that the planning is inputted, and shown is perfect.
It’s a high quality app with the tools to help you write a story.

However, there is a limit to how many characters you can write a file on without paying. You can only write 3 characters before the app asks you to pay. And other things limited without a fee.

This isn’t coming from a stingy POV, but rather on how impractical this is.

If you intend to use an app for story planning free of charge this isn’t for you.

But if you intend to use an app for story planning and don’t mind the fee, I think this would be perfect for you.

  • Great value app

Fantastic app and we’ll worth the one time payment for the pro option. The character and story prompts are brilliant. If I could improve the app, there’s a few things I’d love to see:
    - Copy/paste support;
    - a desktop or web version of the app to contribute to my story progress from different devices; and
    - customisable fields to adjust the prompts to be more specific to individual stories.

  • paywall

you can only add two characters, otherwise you’ll hit a paywall. Not very good for.. most stories tbh
  • Love the App!

Overall love the app. I’m a first time story builder and it’s been really helpful building characters and keeping things organized.

    Recommendation
For first time story builders or younger writers would it be possible to provide like examples of the various character attributes? For example, when building a character under “life,” list three examples of habits, or incompetent, etc. As an idea… have an (i) next to the word habits that is a link to the examples.

    This is a wonderful app!

  • I absolutely love the app, but I noticed this bug.

I noticed a bug that would duplicate photos that was lately used as profile pictures for my characters to the previous ones.

I have two characters (in two separate storylines) that were edited fairly recently. Whenever I change one pfp of “character A,” for example; the other character, “character B,” will have the same pfp even though I only wanted to change the pfp of “character A.” This happens in reverse too. Whenever I’d try to fix this issue by changing the pfp of “character B,” it gets duplicated to the pfp of “character A.”

I hope this bug is fixed because although this is a very minor bug, it is still mildly annoying to try to fix the issue even though my efforts will only result in the same thing happening over and over again.

    [POSSIBLE FEATURE IDEA]
I also have an idea for a feature for the app. Basically, the ability to revert the changed pfp back to the default one. There’s already a button to add photos, so imo, it’d make sense if there’d be a “remove photo” button right next to the button used to add one.

I hope whoever reads this has an awesome night/day. I’m not trying to rush the developers as they need their time to rest too; I just wanted to report a bug that I’ve been noticing with the app for a few days now. Nonetheless, I hope the devs consider fixing this bug when or if there’s a new update.
