  • Good app for writers

I haven’t had many issues with this app. I went for the $3 pro version because it’s a one time purchase to get unlimited access, which is worth it in my opinion.

Some things I’d change/would like to see added:

    •Folders
These would be great for organizing characters specifically, with the ability to name a folder and maybe add an image to it. (Would help me with characters who are part of the same family)

    •Better subsections
We have under “World” and “Culture” several smaller sections like “Religions and Beliefs”, “Ethics and Values” etc. These work like the character entrees, but don't have much elaboration beyond “name, one sentence description, and long description”. I think it would be helpful to have some elaboration and specific questions to answer in these areas.

•Adding images to projects/ better image display in general

    •More in depth story planning
Right now we only have “story”, “plot” and “scenes”, the addition of connections between characters and plots would be neat. Also overall the ability to make connections between characters and locations.

  • Simple and Useful

This is just what I was looking for to help with character development and worldbuilding, and the best part is that the pro version is a one time payment and not a subscription!

  • Is a great character and world builder app

I’m using it for one of my more recent story’s and the only nit pick I have is when typing it moves and that can be frustrating at times.
  • Actually pretty dang handy.

I don’t tend to write reviews, so forgive me in advance.

As both a DM and a writer, this app prompted me to properly explore characters and NPcs that I normally don’t give a second glance to. It made it easy to store them, and with multiple tabs I was really able to get to know the character.
I realised quickly that I would need the paid version, as implied in the description of the app. Three slots was enough to explore and decide whether I really liked the layout or not. If you’re expecting this app to work for you flawlessly on free and you have more than three characters, this isn’t the app for you unfortunately.

I do have a few suggestions for things, if you’re willing to hear me out :)

I like that you’re planning on being able to connect characters together. Perhaps a way to sort them into folders would be good? Having that on the worlds tab would also be useful. You can narrow down to groups or story arcs to better store information.

Maybe a towns / cities tab?
I know locations are probably intended for that, but to be able to have smaller notable places in locations and a full exploration of towns in a different tab would be awesome.
I don’t feel as though the Location tab allows me to explore culture as well as the Worlds tab, but I’m currently using that for different dimensions / worlds (unsurprisingly)

Perhaps a way to tag a character? In the sense of a character belonging to a guild, or a certain story arc. Being able to quickly access tags to locate the character you want faster would be immensely useful.

All in all I’m very optimistic about this app. You’ve done well, and obviously prompted me to make a review :)
I can’t wait to see where you’ll take it.

  • Great app!

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews on this app. Sure, there's limitations, but it's better than nothing. This app is pretty much perfect for aspiring writers to really develop, organize, and grow their stories even without paying. It's not even that expensive to upgrade to the pro version, so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. If you need more room to add new characters and plots, just create a new project and add your additional stuff there. Overall, if you're looking for a good way to plan and organize your story, you should definitely give this app a try.

  • I can’t figure this out.

I wished I keep the example it came with because this app has some words I don’t understand. If you could but example back I be supper happy.
  • I was wondering if there is a place to write the actual story itself

I’m curious to know if there is a place to actually write the story in. Please respond soon.
  • This app worked great for me

I recommend paying $3 for the pro version it allows me to really expand upon my writing help make my character feel very real
  • Brilliant!

This is the most sensible, helpful, well thought out app for writers and world creators you’re going to get. It’s a store cupboard, repository, prompter and much more all rolled into one really easily navigable interface. I can not recommend it highly enough. Well done Wassi.
