  • Perfect tool and app combo

I absolutely love this thermometer. I have an old digital oral/rectal thermometer, a new forehead thermometer and this oral/rectal thermometer by Kinsa and this one is my favorite. It’s much easier to work with than the others just to turn on and take a temp reading. It’s easy to read with an emoji face and temp reading and you have it working with the phone app that immediately received the reading. It keeps record on app of time, temp, symptoms, medication and dosage, as well as an alarm to help keep track of next dose or reading. This app can also be paired with your child’s school and you can create a profile for each child or adult. It will send reading info to your school nurse and will notify you of illness cases in school reported and collected w Kinsa app.

  • Best ever

At first it was annoying that you had to download an app before using it but it turned out that setting it up took about 5 seconds and it is very cool how it tracks when you use it. Not only does it take your temp you can weight notes for you doctor, set alarms to take your meds and even take a short quiz to see if you need to go to the hospital. I also enjoy that it tells you on your the app weather or not your temp is a fever. By for the best one out there.

  • This thermometer by means is my all time favorite.

Wow I must say that the thermometer is great for the whole family Kinsa Makes difference thermometers I did purchase the one that kept the temperatures of anyThree temperatureAny three people you desire. If then gives you information on what could be the issue and ask questions and as you respond to each question it will provide some kind of answer that might be wrong with your child I like that it saves in stores up to three children at a time or adults The one second reading is a blessing try to keep a thermometer under A two or three-year-olds arm for three minutes, not happening thank you Kissa

  • CANNOT USE THERMOMETER WITHOUT STEALING YOUR INFO

The Quickcare thermometer is NOT QUICK. Needed a quick temp reading for a family member, and it DOES NOT MEASURE TEMPERATURE... unless you download the app, sign up, and agree to all their policies... including GIVING UP ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION. No warning of this requirement, until AFTER you bought it, driven home, opened it, and tried to use it in pure frustration only to find out there is NO OTHER WAY to simply use the THERMOMETER AS A THERMOMETER. How ridiculous is this?

Regardless of the manufacturer’s too little too late response. This product should be a thermometer first, and data mining app second. It should default to the manual mode FIRST and not require an unreliable game of cat and mouse.

If it is a data mining product, it should be given away for free, in exchange for its soul leaching data mining.

  • The Best Thermometer + App Duo Ever!

Hands down the best thermometer I have ever bought. Where was this product two kids ago?! Haha. I love the app as well. The only issue I have with the app is very minor. When you go to add in a time of medication given for prior in the day “Tomorrow” actually mean the Current Day. AM and PM are backwards. So if you go to enter a medication give at 8:30 AM on August 29th you would have to do it by entering it in as 8:30 “PM” “Tomorrow” ... a little tricky at first and confusing. I hope it’s just a minor error and is fixed soon. Other than that it is literally perfection. Accurate and fast readings ..every ..single ..time! 👏🏻👏🏻 Kudos to the creators and inventors at play here! Very well thought out! Could always add in extra features as well one day. Always room to update and improve. The thermometer itself is just AMAZING... wouldn’t mind having some specifically made probe covers for the Kinda Quick Care Thermometer though instead of guessing online which sizes will fit and which brand to buy for it 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Can’t pair device to two different iphones? That’s dumb

Like most people, this device was purchased to be used by a family. Sometimes, families include two adults and some kids. As such, this cannot be used by both adults independently because one thermometer cannot be paired with two iPhones...

Sure, it can share data about infection rates where I am, but my husband has to be with me if I want to check my own temperature or that of the kids because I can’t get it to ever connect with my device.

Would be a whole lot cooler if it did. So I’m returning it and sticking with my cheap Rite Aid thermometer - because it doesn’t have any weird, irritating quirks - it just takes my temperature indiscriminately.

  • Great Thermometer

Thermometer seems to work great! I would suggest using it while you are well so you can get an average of what your temperature normally runs before you actually feel the need to use it. As I’ve always told my patients, there is no such thing as normal. There are only measurements that are considered normal. I would base my judgement of whether I had a fever on the average temperature I got when I felt better. I would also suggest doing this on any medical device such as this (blood pressure, pulse ox, or heart rate monitor).

  • Does the job but...

The app is the absolute minimum I’d expect for the Kinsa thermometer, but that’s about it. Basically just saves some of the data. For example, the export function looks like it just uses the data as it’s formatted when stored. Much more useful would be a csv file to enable importing into a spreadsheet for manipulation and graphing. Also, why only save a few days of data? Our phones have a lot of memory these days. And so on. I’d recommend the Kinsa folks hire a professional iOS programmer to make this a truly useful app. Right now it’s not.

  • Thermometer:Good App: VERY Poor

5/25 Update: The app is very buggy and the latest bug I have discovered is that it deletes readings that have been saved. What is interesting is that it also deletes the entry in the Apple Health app too. Kinsa never responded to my earlier review below.

The thermometer works well but there are issues with the app. Some of the bugs I have found include : double posting readings from the Kinsa app to the Apple Health app. Each reading in the health app ends up with a different UUID but exactly the same time stamp so it rather looks as this is a Kinsa problem. Another bug is if you export via email the data the resulting is not in any sort of order at all it just seems to be random. Also why only allow the export of a max of 14 days of data? Other bugs include inconsistencies when it actually saves data to the timeline etc etc

Whoever is doing their App QA is not doing a good job and is bringing down the quality of the product.

  • Disappointed with Product

I have had major trouble with the consistent use of this device and he app. I had to contact customer support several times to seek help with syncing the device with the app. Moreover, I had a problem with the device giving off a L reading on the display indicating that the device was not able to detect a temperature reading. This occurred after placing the device into my ear canal in an unsafe manner. I am somewhat disappointed and frustrated with using this product.
