Pretty much useless

“Broadcasts” seems to allow you to select ONE station from a large list of pre-programmed / pre selected stations (I could not find anything I deemed worth listening to) - you CAN’T add your own station - nor edit or remove any entries you made - I was unable to add more than one of the pre selected stations - if you try anything beyond that, you get: “PAY!!! for the full version” showed into your face - What does the full version really offer? The free version did not allow me to add my own station and so I don’t expect the full version to offer that either…

Across IOS

Fantastic app that just works

It just wokrs!

An excellent radio player for all your devices, very reliable and has all the essential features.

Holy Grail of Streaming Radio

I love to listen to a lot of different streaming audio stations. I liked to use Apple's own Music app on my Mac, but this feature is absent from the iOS and TvOS platforms. Once I tested this app with it's five station limit, I happily paid the $9.99 and use it on my Apple TV and iOS every day. The browse feature finds a lot of publiclly available streaming radio stations, but I've gone further and using the developer view of Safari found the embedded streaming URLs to some staitons that only stream via their own app or web UI online. Now I can have my fave station all in one place across all my platforms. I also love the ability to customize the station's cover art!

Perfect streaming simplicity!

Nice and clean, good design.
Let's you store 5 favs for free. Thx dev.
I would buy the unlock if it had ability to keep showing artwork without screen sleep on iPad. If it did that I'd switch from VLC.

An excellent program

Broadcasts is a straightforward program that does what it says it will do. The paid upgrade is well worth the price and adds the option to include custom stations. An additional bonus is that the author does not collect unnecessary and invasive user data.

Perfection

Love the UI, the sync across devices, the ability to customize station art. An app that does one thing and does it extremely well. Absolutely worth paying for

Very pleased

Found every station I was looking for and reception is good

Great selection of stations - does exactly what's needed

Exactly the solution I was looking for - great list of stations and easy to use. Status Bar icon for quick access would make it perfect.

Simple and a bit onerous

After so many positive reviews, I tried Broadcasts. Very disappointed. It does not list stations by genre. When searching for a specific kind of music, for instance Ambient, I don't care what country it originates from. I just want the content.

There might be times when it's nice to peruse stations from a certain country, but I think most folks are searching for a cerain kind of music.

Broadcasts does have a fairly decent database of stations but surely, there have to more than this.

Finally, Broadcasts interface isn't the most intuitive. With a bit of time, one can figure out how to use it.

Response from developer

Hey there, In case it helps: you can search global stations by tag (e.g. 'ambient') from the search field in the sidebar on Mac/iPad, or in the Search tab on iPhone. 'Search Tags' is an option in the dropdown menu in the corner, if it's not enabled by default. There is just no UI for browsing by genre at this time.
