Unfinished, nonfunctional.

Update in response to developer comment — v. 1.2 still does not provide a way to SEARCH for a specific station you’d like to add. The lists of available stations by country marks a step forward, but it’s still a manual process — for example, you have to manually scroll through a list of 3,550 stations to add a U.S. station.

Original review — App requires manual entry of the streaming URL of a station you’d like to add. “Search” only applies to the list of stations you’ve already set up; you can’t use the call sign of a station you’d like to add (such as “WETA”) to obtain the information the app needs to stream that station. Compare with TuneIn and other apps that facilitate easy addition of a specific station.

Awesome UI, smooth and simple.

While the star rating is rather low, and the other review you see shown here claims the app to be a “total waste of money” - Broadcasts is just about as perfect as a radio app can be. It has a gorgeous UI that makes sure it does it’s singular purpose job as well as it possibly can. While the default Irish radio stations are useless to most involved, after purchasing the “pro” tier, the user is given access to thousands of curated stations from practically every country across the globe. It gives you worldwide radio access in a gorgeous package. While the other review here mentions that there are “no other stations included”, it seems he didn’t even bother to use the app as there are THOUSANDS of stations. Further, you can even add your own station via a URL, and upload your own custom station art to go along with it. It is the perfect radio app and does it’s purpose with flying colours. Highly recommend.

Slight Improvement!

The addition of the browser for stations is a huge improvement for this app, but on iOS there does not appear to be a way to search the list, whilel there is a search field on the Mac version, what gives?

Still not a universal purchase either, bought it on the phone and no it wants me to pay again on the Mac, which I will not be doing! What is the problem?

doesn't work

Bought both the MacOS and IOS versions.

The MacOS version was good for less than a day before it stopped working. I can click on a station and start streaming and the app displays the pause icon and the currently played song as if streaming but there is no sound (sound is working fine on the computer). That is the same for all stations which incidentally stream without issue on other applicatoins.

Support is offered only via Twitter, which is great - if you use Twitter, otherwise you are out in the cold with no way to contact the developer.

Hate using a review to get support...

...but none of the support links go anywhere but a blog page.

1) Universal purchase isn't.
2) All of the Irish stations vanished after I made the iOS purchase.
3) The graphic choices on the Mac app might be being largely made by Apple but they make the app really ugly and nothing like the screenshots.

All in all, wasn't worth the purchase money. Hope it will be and I can revise this review or delete it.

Unable to add radio stations

The only reason I bought this was to be able to add other radio stations. There is absolutely nothing in this app that lets you search for other stations and I have found it impossible to add stations because I am unable to locate the proper urls. That makes the app pretty much useless.

Minimal, but good

This app works great! It’s a simple, small macOS and iOS stream player, and it syncs very quickly. I can’t throw all the weird streams I want to test at it right now, but it’s working just fine for my local public radio station’s bog-standard MP3 stream.

I would appreciate some Shortcuts support so I can ask Siri to play stations, but it’s so fast that I don’t mind doing it manually.

Nope

Update: *I appreciate dev response. However I deleted peseta when I opened the app because I don’t care about Irish radio stations. This is a US store app, no? So editing presets not possible now for me. An explanation in your app description would have helped then, no? I would have tried that if that were explained. After being burned too many times with new apps if an app doesn’t at least have a day trial period to fully try it then I don’t trust it. Just some constructive feedback. Sorry. Launch & app just not fully thought out in my opinion but I appreciate your candor and response and wish you luck*

Not even a 24 hour trial period? Nothing? Not sure my stations will add, won’t be purchasing

Please give me my money back!!!

This is the WORST piece of junk I have ever used!

Do you know how you search/add for a new station? You can’t! What you have to do is go to the website of the radio station you want and try to find the URL for the station’s feed then manually copy that into a “new station” dialog!

REALLY?

By the way, there’s no station artwork either, god knows how you get it!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
