HOH excellent app.
I have tested a number of speech to text apps over quite a long time. One after another I have discarded them for being not very good. Then I tested live transcribe on a 7 day trial. It was my special birthday and because of the lockdown the family were not allowed to visit. My husband arranged a video call and opened the app and with a little adjustment of the volume, I was delighted to discover that I could read and understand everything that was said by the everyone on the call. What a surprise birthday treat to be able to take part in a video chat instead of my husband having to repeat back parts of the conversation afterwards.
As face coverings are necessary in shops and stores now it becomes impossible to lipread people, the app is an invaluable aid and is always with me on my phone.
This is the best HOH app I have used.

Live transcribe is fantastic!
My mom is in a nursing home. She has hearing aids but never uses them. Visits with her were extremely frustrating. Even when I yelled she didn’t hear much of what I said. Now my 97 year old mom enjoys being able to hear about her new great granddaughter and what is new with the rest of the family. We only get a one-half hour outdoor visit with her per week, so this app is invaluable to me.

Make it cheaper 👎
This is a great app for the deaf or hearing impaired like myself. A bit disappointing that you have to pay for it and it’s not really cheap. 👎👎👎 thumbs down especially with wearing masks. It could have been a great life saver.
Do not get if you are Deafblind and require braille
This is not accessible with voiceover and braille displays for Deafblind people. Also, if you want to write to the company-- which I tried to do, you must fill out a CAPTCHA, either audio or visual, and being Deafblind, I can do neither, so this is the only way I can communicate with the dev. I find it frustrating that the maker of an app for accessibility puts their contact form behind an inaccessible captcha. There are better ways of weeding out spam. Do not download this app if yAre deafblind and require braille. It will freeze up your display and you will have to exit the app to regain functionality.

Accurate, super easy to use and great communication with developer
I’ve only been playing with this app for a couple of days but I’ve found it incredibly easy to use. It’s basically a way to generate subtitles in real time - incredible for those of us who are hearing impaired. Accurate even when the speaker is masked. This app has so much potential! I had a question for the developer and he replied within hours and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. I highly, highly recommend.

Cost
Whilst I am sure this application is excellent I don’t like surprises after downloading as to what it really costs. You should not do this. Because of that tactic I’ll not be using your product.
Bit disappointed
The app is a little disappointing, I thought the option to choose the first and second language was so you could translate the speech either way. I work in A&E and to get a translator in due to covid 19 Is extremely difficult.
It would be great if I could speak English and see the text I spoke appear, as it does now, but then see it translate into which ever language I would like to speak in, so my patient can read it and I can check for spelling or incorrect words being sent. It would be good if the flip button was to change the language so the other person could speak and see the words they spoke ( in their mother tongue) and see it change into English or which ever language they wanted to speak in so they can communicate easily and more clearly. I think not having this as an option for the price your asking for is ridiculous and over-rated. Once you can make the app complete the above issue I have raised, I would definitely purchase this app. But until then, sorry this app is very expensive and not worth the money. Find another app!

Type Screen
Good app, with great potential, but I don’t quite get the “Type Screen” function. Why cannot I use a full screen when I’m typing? It only gives me half or a quarter of the screen.
Also, when you are in the “Live Transcribe” mode, it adds a full stop after each sentence automatically. This should be optional, just like adding line breaks.

Wow, this is amazing!
I need this to transcribe for me since I am deaf. I tried it talking to my husband and it recorded every word correctly. This is without practice for voice recognition. Just push the microphone on the face, be sure your volume is wide open, bingo it’s recording. I will be able to use this at medical appointments and wherever I have a one to one conversation. I’m sure there will be other applications I can use it for also. Thank you!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for
I’ve been using Live Transcribe for a couple weeks now since moving in with my grandparents - my grandmother is losing her hearing and this app has been an absolute lifesaver! The responsiveness is worlds ahead when compared to similar apps I’ve tried.
