Hi StellaLynnTX, thank you so much for your review! What you named, that The Beans doesn't cause you anxiety when you open it, is the first design principle at the company. This comes from my own experience of being stressed about money only to open my app and get a scary message, or to get a text that tells me I overspent ⚠️ I learned in graduate school that these negative messages actually make us more likely to spend our money 😬 so we work really hard to remove stressful things from the app and from our messaging. The Beans has helped me look at my finances in a whole new way. I love the app design and how it gives a clear picture of my budget. It was easy to set up and a plan was developed for me quickly. I want to budget and have tried many ways on my own. In the past I have been discouraged and quit. Since finding The Beans I have done a much better job and have not lost my motivation! The Beans has really helped me, I am excited!MarlyOneLove

The app wasn’t able to recognize all of my income flows and set them up as consistent feed. It ended up being moire trouble than it was worth. Pretty disappointed because I was really interested in the idea and spent $40ish on it :(Aliviuhh
Pulled $250 from my account
They pulled $250 from my checking account without my permission. I now have a $100 late fee and a derogatory mark when I’m supposed to find a new lease on two months. The app is so buggy that I can’t even get it to pull up the supposed account it transferred the money to. I’m absolutely devastated. Do no trust this company.Show lessVada G

Hi Vada, thanks so much for this review. We messaged with you on September 22 and October 6th offering support. After going through our Essential Savings feature and granting permission to The Beans, we saved the money you asked us to and moved it to a wallet you control. I'm so sorry that this caused other issues with your finances. We always check to make sure you have enough money in your account to cover all upcoming bills X1.5 before making any transfers, just to be sure this exact thing doesn't happen. We are happy to cover the fee you incurred and to write a letter on your behalf to assist with getting your lease. Essential and Impactful
This app is an amazing intersection of how technology and easing people’s lives come together. I’m someone who wants to improve my relationship with my money and be more confident with what I do with it as a new college graduate. “The Beans” is a tool that will help me foster that relationship.
I’m excited to see where this app is going and how it will continue positively influence my life! On top of that, you can see how the team is a group of caring people who are coming together to make something accessible for those who really need it.
The interface and features are user friendly, easy to understand, and overall makes me more motivated to be more wise with my income.
