Cannot connect to my phone
I’m very frustrated with this dash cam set up. I’ve tried every which way to try to get it connected to my phone. With no success. Help….
Useless
Absolute waste of time. Not easy to connect and doesn’t stay connected then won’t reconnect . Good to know despite using location it thinks I live in Pasadena USA not W Yorkshire England.

Absolute Rubbish
No help function. Unintuitive interface. No ability to access existing video files. Don’t bother downloading you will only be disappointed and frustrated.
A big corporation, but can’t fix the App
I’ve always bought KENWOOD/Alpine stereo equipment. But I came up in the 1980s. The japanese make above excellent products. I believe they were bought by Imperial ex mix warfare CCP. Since their products got sold or intellectually stolen, they started out as the gold of the industry to the lead of the industry, thieving on both sides. That’s not fair trade. This will be the last I invest in foregn tech. For Good. I can now make my own electronic products that bypass normal means of long distance communican, entirely legal under current law, without any sort of liscence. And no, it’s not Native American smoke signals, but using the earths innate properties. Think Nikolai Tesla. It’s open source now and very much a 110 yr old tech. If you reaserch and succeed, we will decentralize and conquer centralized power and shut down centralized electricity and power, thereby the mega corps who threaten humanity and to enslave them. Techs like this are all over. Start at the website “Instructables” but don’t stick to just one source. “my people perish for a lack of knowledge”. Use their prison to enslave those who seek to enslave others: “The first shall be last, and the last first”…..

Works Just As Advertised
I have an iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 17 and I had zero issues downloading and using the app.
Like another review said, turn OFF your Cellular and Bluetooth, and turn ON your WiFi.
The app lets your watch any videos instantly, plus it lets you save them in the app and to your phone.
Took me 60 seconds using the app to find and download my accident video from the camera to my photo album on my phone.
The video download takes multiple steps which can be a pain, but we we talking a few extra taps of your finger than might have been necessary. It is pretty simple, straightforward stuff.
If you have any issues, the manual can be downloaded online for free.
I would rate this app 4.5/5.

Absolutely works
You need to go on the wifi setting and allow the app permission , also I have had my cam for a bout five years and have had a single problem using with all my iPhones :)
Completely Useless
This app needs an update because it can’t seem to connect wirelessly with my iPhone 13. No matter what I try, the app refuses to sync to my dashcam.
The last app update was 2 years ago. Get a move on, Kenwood app developers.

Simple app not intuitive to set up, crashes adding date time
App works OK. It is not intuitive and does take a few minutes to work out how to connect. Another review failed to understand you have to go to wifi and connect to Kenwood with a password of 12345 etc as it takes you to another area of settings. After that app works fine but for me on iPhone SE2. it crashes when trying to add correct date and time which is quite poor.

Cannot download videos or images
I can connect to the camera WiFi no problem however when selecting images or videos to download I see the pop up saying file downloaded (which is instant) but no files are ever downloaded. What’s going on?
App is not functional!
One would believe that a KENWOOD product would be AAAA+. Unfortunately, it is terrible, doesn’t work and stresses you out because you expect it to work. If I could give it a zero star I would. After review I found thousands of other people complaining about the same thing. I have an iPhone 14 and as advertised it should work. Apple you should pull their app from your App Store as their claim is fraudulent. Shame on you KENWOOD.
