Unfortunate bug
I was having a great time with this when unfortunately I encountered a game ending bug. In the scene where Jimmy the Thumbs has Robert’s hand trapped and is raising the cleaver, the empty bottle will not highlight. Only option is the dead fish. I’ve re-downloaded and also uninstalled and reinstalled several times: Nothing works. Seeing as there hasn’t been any activity on the game from the dev in at least 2 years, I’m not optimistic that the problem will be addressed.
I’ve encountered this issue on other games in Arcade in the past and it’s one of the reasons I dropped it. The other major reason I quit is the limited types of games offered here. I really dislike shoot ‘em ups, match 3 and hidden object types. If they ever decide to expand their repertoire to include escape, mysteries, or puzzle games like House of DaVince, I would reconsider.

Great game
The game is really great other rumors will say bad things about glitches, but I have completed this game over five times and encountered no problems. If you’re thinking of downloading this, just know the game is a tiny bit slow, but I like that. movement system is a tad weird, but it works once you get used to it. The game takes a tiny bit longer than other games to load but that’s probably because this game was made to play on the Apple TV. Also, I would not recommend installing this game if you do not have the latest iOS. But overall, this is an amazing game with a great design and a great storyline so if you’re into puzzle/adventure games this is probably my number one recommendation.
– Thank you so much Apple, this game is amazing.

Amazing game
This game is sooooo good. Great story line, great graphics. Reminds me of 1984 by George Orwell. Highly recommend.
Boring intro
Boring intro and I could not for the life of me figure out how to select the pie to try and get the birds off the body within the first minute of the game.
Amazing sequel
I'm a huge fan of the original and this sequel does not disappoint. Great storyline with a powerful emotional punch but also action and humour. If you're familiar with this kind of game then you won't need trial and error or the hint system. Everything is very (ahem) logical.
If I'm to leave any constructive criticism is that there's one part of the game that involves giving a "push". You only have about a second to lock on and execute the push using the iPad controls. Something to consider for future games.

A masterpiece. Period.
You guys outdid yourselves! This game is great because of the story, the art, and it would pop into my head whenever I think about the Telltale Batman games. It’s kind of short however, but maybe that can be fixed with a remake of Beneath a Steel Sky in the same style and as an Apple Arcade “exclusive”, and I was wondering if you are interested in potentially porting this game and its predecessor on:
Nintendo 64 (There is a graphics mode that supports cel shading called F3DEX3; and maybe make it require the Expansion Pak and support either Rumble Pak, Controller Pak or Transfer Pak)
Sega Dreamcast (what do you want the VMU to do?)
GameCube (Maybe this is better suited, and maybe even make it support GCN-GBA link cable)
Game Boy Advance (just port Beneath a Steel Sky, and maybe add rumble in its cartridge and on Game Boy Player, plus GCN-GBA link cable support)
Sega CD and 32X (requires both cartridge and CD, and Beneath a Steel Sky only)
Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Preferably with a Super FX chip (3D visuals), Super Accelerator 1 chip, Cx4 chip (wireframes), Digital Signal Processing chips (chip 1 is the most common), or a combination of any of these, and Beneath a Steel Sky only)
The reason why I excluded the sequel in some of these ideas is because Beneath is older. And here are the items you need:
Doctor V64 (N64)
Mr Backup Z64 (N64)
DexDrive (N64)
Sega Katana (Dreamcast)
insideGadgets GBA Flash carts (the bigger the size, the better)
I’ll look for these and more on eBay and Kijiji in new condition, then look for you and mail them to you in a big box or two! But I severely digress!
What this game could use is a little bit more action, some more content, expansions! And I was also thinking about a prequel to this game and a sequel to Beneath called Between a Steel Sky. What do you think should happen? And do you think you can shoehorn it in the aforementioned ports?
Anyway, check this out. It’s worth your time

I like the hacks in the game and it seems so much fun
Great game
It combines a funny adventure with Joey’s jokes and a great entertaining story best game I have ever played on mobile
A worthy successor to the original adventure
I played this adventure over a long haul flight. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The puzzles were not too hard, but the game visuals and audio were superb. I’m the graphics are very good for a mobile game. The sound track is great the music is powerful and cinematic.
The controls were a little fiddly on a iPhone a couple of places where I struggled to align with the interaction zones in time. But the game kept me captivated throughout.

Pleasent Surprise
For someone that was curious about spending money for Apple Arcade I was ver curious on if i would get value from the subscription. I don’t own a video game console and I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on something I would only play on occasion. However, this game got me hooked. I was playing this game through 1am in the morning. This game was fun, challenging and the story was well written. This makes my subscription to Apple Arcade worth it and I just want people to know that this video game is a gem and that we should support people who make these immersive games that we take for granted. I would easily pay $49 for this game. Well done to the team who made this game.
