  • What a great app

I love this app - it’s so intuitive. Easy to use, it does everything I need, AND is reasonably priced. The two best things: the way it accesses Ultimate Guitar website to easily download lyrics and chords; and the way it can connect to a laptop for easy editing of downloaded songs. The best (and I’ve tried several others, which were much more expensive).

  • Awesome app!

This is the perfect way to assemble songs and share them with my group! Just a small one time fee gives me so much flexibility!
And along with 2 other free sites, it uses the “ultimate guitar” site for finding your favorite songs with the chords. It just so happens that I already subscribe to ultimate guitar (I actually use their Uke feature more than guitar), so I can find just about any song I want!
A great feature of SongbookPro is that it lets you put in your own songs and chords. It’s easy. I use the little microphone next to the tab bar on my keyboard and just let my tablet take dictation.
Then I go through and tap the “chorus” and “verse” headings where appropriate, and “chord” puts in the format that lets you just type the chord between the instant brackets.
I especially love that I can set my songbook display with Large letters on a black background for the lyrics with the chords highlighted in color. Easy viewing when I’m playing outside!
This app has opened whole new world of possibility for me in putting together a portable library of my favorite songs, and setting up play lists.
A Great Big Thank You to the creators and developers of SongbookPro!

  • Awesome, delete ultimate guitar and get this

I finally switched to songbook pro after years of ultimate guitar’s glitches and bugs.

Songbook Pro does everything I wanted from ultimate guitar, including using ultimate guitar chord sheets, but without having to deal with all of the glitches and bugs. It does everything just as well as or, usually, better than UG.

This app is excellent, AND you only pay once, no subscription. I would give more stars if I could.

  • Awesome app!

Completely recommend this for any church based band like us where we can search and add songs and share them among each of us, removed the need of paper based tricky issues like transposing etc. Just one feature missing though, I wish there was a way to configure showing flats instead of sharps for chords on the songs uniformly for all the sharps as a configurable setting.

  • First I was happy and now I’m a little disappointed

There’s so much to live in this app and the price is fantastic. We started to encounter some issues with marking up documents with the highlighter and when I reached out multiple times I got no response from developer so I’m a little disappointed. Still it’s a great choice for a solid way to display cords and do some fine editing on a computer. If only I would get a little bit better customer support I would give them much higher rating.

  • Simple, easy to use, does everything I need

I have been using SongBook Pro for a little while now and it really does what I want as an occasional bigger with a lousy memory for lyrics. It is easy to add, and edit songs and include all the info you need such as Capo setting, pedal settings, etc., it automatically transposes chords (extremely valuable if you are playing with someone who has a different range to you), the setlist management is so intuitive and easy and you can print an individual song or a setlist so as to have that all important emergency backup. It syncs to Dropbox so I can have the same library on my iPhone and iPad. All in all well worth the small payment. Thanks.

Feature requests - midi tempo sync would be really handy but I can live without it!

  • Songbook Pro is the best I’ve found!

I have tried several apps for lyrics and chords. I have found dealbreakers with every one of them except Songbook Pro.
I can add songs by searching on the internet with one tap on SBP. It takes you to Ultimate Guitar. You choose the version you want, choose your key, push one button and it’s saved in SBP. It’s that easy! You can edit the mistakes that are often in UG, like chords not lining up with the right word, etc.
Making sets is easy too. On stage, in sets mode, you swipe left and it goes to the next song. You can scroll but I don’t use that feature. It takes time to get the tempo right, and then during the guitar solo, it still gets ahead of where you need to be. My work around is to memorize the chorus, then delete the chorus between the first and second verse. Now you can see the second verse without swiping up.
It syncs easily between iPad and iPhone too. If my iPad falls and breaks or just fails, I can put my iPhone on a music stand and get through the night. Tip… increase the font size on your iPhone (in SBP) and turn it sideways on the stand. Otherwise the chords won’t line up with the words.
I absolutely could not gig without this amazing app! It’s only a few bucks and worth way more!

  • Amazing App

This app is truly a godsend. It is perfect for impromptu performances where I need a quick key change. I also love the fact that the font is customizable, as well as the shareable library backups that make it so easy to keep everyone in my group in sync.

My only suggestion for improvement comes from pasting text files with apostrophes. Depending on where I get them from, the apostrophes are displayed as question marks inside little boxes, which means they are not a recognized character. It would be nice to not have to worry about editing those. Still, your app is amazing!

  • Must have app for lives

This app has been a game changer for me in live performances. It is easy to navigate and keep your sets in order. It has a few minuses but more pluses. Would like to see a more adaptive way to get all the songs in a pdf rather than song by song. This will help in the event of a real crash or accidental delete. It also would help for band print outs also. Overall a great app.

  • Great Songbook on the Go

Very nice app! I was able to convert and import all songs from easislides. It has most basic options you need out of the box for solo or small praise and worship settings. I did notice when sharing a song set with other musicians, every song was treated as unique so you ended up with dupes. Not big deal, just delete the set when finished. I love the website song integration and use it to pull in new songs more than I thought. I would recommend adding support for cloud syncing and multiple devices/users.
