Simple & Effective for Reading
This is just the app I hoped to find.
Nice clean interface, easy to flip between pages & reach the desired page (unlike many pdf readers).
The best part for me is being able to upload pdf bookscans & have them in a library ready to read as desired.
Another bonus, I haven’t met any pesky ads or prompts for paid services - much appreciated :)

Maybe more highlighting colors?

I love your app! This is just a suggestion :) Maybe you could add more colors to highlight with? Maybe? 👀 I like the colors you have now, and it isn't a necessity, but some more color options would be nice while annotating/studying.

Is Alkido supposed to,like, do something.
I’ve now spent half an hour trying to get it to open the book I downloaded. The little circle spins and spins and then my iPad crashes.

Provisional rating
This is a decent reading app. However, it doesn’t seem possible to share a book between my devices. Since my book is saved to iCloud, I want to be able to read it on both my phone, and my iPad. Apple Books handles that just fine. If there is a way to do this, it ought to be in the FAQ. I’ll raise my rating if the app turns out to have that functionality.

What sort of a library won’t let you sort by author?
I am a big fan of Aldiko on Android. But the IOS version simply doesn’t work. I need to sort my books by author but that is not an option. So I’ll be deleting this app and moving on to something else.

Formatting interfece is not straight forward on iPad
First experience with the application was very frustrating, I started reading an ebook on my iPad and I had a problem with the formatting. Each end of chapter I was loosing several lines. I tried to change character size, margins.
After trial and errors I finally found out that I was staying in Aaa modifications mode ! To exit it, you have to tap on a blank part of the text. The user interface is not clear and obvious…

Wonderful except for one flaw
I love the elegance of this app. It only takes a few adjustments to fave a beautiful reading experience. Except for one thing: on iPad if I leave the app when I come back to Aldiko it resets to the beginning of the chapter unless I’ve closed the app first.
