Hello Simrad developers, please take this review in the spirit was given. To improve. Your app is good, but it is not intuitive. Adding and searching for way points are very difficult. Why can’t we search by address and you guys do the translation to coordinates? Setting up routes is difficult and not intuitive. I cannot believe how difficult it is to create a route. You don’t allow us to pick all our saved places to create the route. I could go on and on. You need to have a few lay people sit down and use the app and see where they struggle and make it easier. Then this app would be dynamite. Thank you for listening.

Terrible app
This app is unstable at the best of times. Get the effective spinning wheel of death....tried to register a device and it just hangs on the same page and doesn’t proceed. Also downloaded it to ipad and it doesn’t even open. Yes there is more than enough storage on my device and yes I have ios 12.0 and later

Great Marine Navigation App
My Simrad App is one of the best boating Apps that ever used. I have been out offshore 70+ miles, inshore in and out of back bays, and all kinds of areas following Simrad pre-planned routes. It’s never failed me, even across some of the shallowest flats areas! The charting with the extreme and awesome contours are phenomenal. Simrad app is by far superior to all others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

App seem to be broken on iOS 17.6.1
I love this app but have today woken to find that after updating to iOS 17.6.1 the maps no longer load. Instead I’m left with the red SIMRAD splash screen as the background.
I can’t find a way to request support other than leaving this review. Hopefully the folks at Simrad are actively working on a fix.

Clunky
Trying to connect to my Simrad GO XSE is clunky. I have to try and retry. I eventually can get it to connect but it is very time consuming. Trying to synch my navigation has never worked. I get a message “Try again and if you still cannot synch contact customer service.” This would be a great feature - you can do all the planning away from the boat which would be really nice. This has plagued me for a long time. This is really the sole useful feature for this app. Customer Service can’t figure it out.

Great app for Boating
Great app to use for boating and managing Waypoints and Routes to load onto my Simrad units in my boat. Highly recommend.
Rubbish app
Flakey and unreliable. Crashes, burns through battery life, nearly impossible to sync, painful UI. Lacks many basic features, sort ordering bug where days are based on GMT time not localised time setting. Splash screen contains video that hijacks audio channel and interrupts playback. No way to export data, no way to manually edit of adjust tracks. No way to tag of categorise marks and tracks - everything just exists in a gigantic single list.
Worst of all: constant nagging to pay for overpriced ‘premium’ subscription. At least the app is consistent with the gutter-trash quality of my Simrad chartplotter!

Thank you for using our app and for reporting your issue. What plotter are you using? Are you using the same login details in your plotter as per your app account?
Worth it!
Discovered even the free access allows map viewing and smart route plans. Entered two points on different rivers and it draws a path between them for safe passage. Will definitely be upgrading once I have my boat back on the water.
Months of downtime, no compensation!
When simrad / cmap was hacked they contacted subscribers mentioning that they would be locked after. But no! They kept subscribers money while there product was unusable.
