Really Solid App, but Could Use More Features
I’ve been using the app for a bit and I’ve been satisfied with the rating and review system, but I still feel like it lacks some features.
For example, there needs to be a better system to make sure that images are labeled properly. Sometimes you’ll look at an image and the dish name is just “yum”. This bothers me because it makes it tough for people to plan what they want to order ahead of time. Additionally, there needs to be a way to enforce consistency across naming conventions such as auto capitalization for each word. Additionally, for photos containing multiple dishes, a way to tag the photos instead like on Instagram would be cool.
There are also some cool features that apps like Truffle support that would be cool to have such as automatically adding restaurants you put in your story or posts into your list.
Next, it would be great to be able to see and sort through all the photos you’ve posted on Beli.
Finally, it needs a dark mode! Especially in dark environments when I’m trying to write a review, I open the app and am blinded!
Also please add a suggestions page!

OBSESSED
This app is everything Yelp wants to be. I love being able to save restaurants in places I want to travel, or even locally for dinners with friends. I have been inspired to try so many new places since downloading.
I would love to see a desktop version in the future (for my millennial need to plan on big screens) and be able to better filter my searches for recs.

Could get there with some basic fixes!
When selecting photos to attach, Yelps gives you a selection of photos selected at the location first, which is very convenient. Seems like a must-have for Beli so we don’t have to scroll through everything all the time!
Also you have the option to tag other people in reviews, but the other person can’t quickly hop on (same photos, same date) and rate as well?

Forced to send invite to other people
The on boarding experience is unmotivated. Forcing users to send invitations to other people without actually able to use the app first.
Great app
Really like the idea of a food social media platform essentially. I love trying new restaurants and usually I just end up pinning them on Google maps and leaving reviews through Google. This is a fun way to share to my friends!! Hope the app continues to grow and improve 🤞🏼🫶🏼
Great concept, some suggestions
Would be great to have a desktop website to more easily add restaurants. Would also be great to have a quick button for adding restaurants to want to go list. Right now clicking the bookmark pulls up a pop up before adding, so it ends up being a bit clunky.

Love this app and the concept. I would love to see improvements in the recs and also in the ability to filter by certain dishes as well as cuisines.
Great for “foodies”! More categories please🥲
Living in a “foodie city”, this app is PERFECT! It helps me keep up with places I’ve been and reminds me of places I’ve wanted to try. Going out with friends and don’t know where to go? No problem. You can consult each other’s Beli profiles for suggestions. When my family is visiting, it makes it easy for me to recommend places for them to eat. It’s been fun going out with friends and comparing our ratings of different places.
My only complaint is the minimal categories in the rating system. The categories you can assign a place to are restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee and desserts. It’s really hard to compare ALL restaurants to each other. For example, how do I compare a pizza place to a brunch spot? It would be nice if I could personalize the list of categories to fit my preferences and compare those restaurants to each other. For example, I would want to create a brunch category so I can compare all the brunch spots to each other. Or if I’m on a mission to find my favorite pizza spot in the city, I’d create a pizza category to compare the pizza places I’m trying.
