Not overly happy
My money has been refunded and I will talk to my own dr this morning after a very anxious weekend UPDATE I went to see a private dermatologist today £180 later as the anxiety wasn’t going to let me wait 2 weeks on the NHS and thankfully she said it was nothing to worry about and only a scar as predicted by Previous drs and dermatologist. I’m sure this app were trying to do the right thing but the wording I feel needs to be a little bit sensitive rather than saying the word ‘cancer’ and ‘mandatory biopsy’ maybe saying something like ‘this looks quiet concerning to me and I would advise to go and see dermatologist straight away’ would have been more responsible. Payment was refunded but this isn’t for me the first dr said it was fine and the ‘snr doctor’ which I would have assumed all drs are Senior said otherwise how many people have been told it’s ‘fine’ without a senior Dr looking, However my mind is at ease now but I definitely wouldn’t be using this or any other skin app again if your concerned go and see your Dr where they can look at it properly. I would however like to say the support team were very helpful and got back to me ASAP and for that reason i will change my star to 2

Dear dianeocm, To appease your anxiety, we accepted your request for an additional check by a senior physician (at no cost). The doctor recommended a physical inspection for reassurance since you were still anxious. It was your choice to follow the recommendation. We hope your local GP will help with your anxiety but your 1 star review is a bit unfair as you've received professional medical advice (which you are actually following by visiting your GP). We've also issued you a refund. At any case, we thank you for trying scanoma and wish you a healthy and happy resolution to your issues. Update: To protect your privacy we will not write your whole diagnosis here, but the doctor did not say you had cancer just that it looked concerning enough for a biopsy to be recommended (which cannot be done online). We apologise if the wording was alarming and we are glad you got it physically checked by a doctor. (We always recommend seeing a local dermatologist or gp when there is any doubt). It works!
I used it several times to be sure and it was always above 95%concerning
It’s great to have this to hand especially during Covid when appointments are scare
I shall be using it every month to check from now on
