  • System needs a LOT of work!

    Loved TiVo and this mandated switch to 100% streaming is unfair & extremely frustrating just as winter, holidays, football is coming around. 90 minutes on phone with three different admin & tech people and still no Yukon! Logon seems to be accepted, but screen just rolls back to blank logon screen with no further action/advice. YouTube TV, Prime, Netflix, Apple all work, but Yukon DOA.

    Since Yukon is GCI’s “recommended” app & apparently does not effect data usage, they really need to do some immediate work on this or delay the switch over. Their tech people are very polite & professional but seem as frustrated as I am. (Yes, I reloaded, reset, changed Apple TV units, tried the iOS app, etc many times). And BTW, have fun using a tiny Apple remote and confusing GUI after getting used to the nice big TiVo remote with dedicated buttons…

  • Buggy, slow, terrible

    If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. This “upgrade” to GCI’s cable service is terrible! No longer do we have access to our cable channels through their apps, we now have to decipher the Yukon TV awful interface to find the programs we used to binge through our GCI synched subscription. The record and playback thru the MyDV is buggy, sometimes won’t play back (instead issuing an error code) for hours at a time, and if it does play back, it might decide to pause, skip, or reset the program at any number of random locations. I really hope they improve this service considering they’re basically forcing everyone to switch.

  • Terrible product!

    GCI should be ashamed of themselves. To say Yukon TV is unstable, clunky, unreliable and unintuitive would be an understatement. In a word - it's garbage. Do not waste your money on this junk offering from GCI!
  • Disappointing and unreliable

    Lousy interface. Recorded shows often won’t playback so that’s not reliable. No easy way to navigate. Have to sign out to exit and sign back in. This is not an improvement.
  • MyDVR option is so clunky

    I pay to have the dvr option so you can record shows/series. This is so clunky on all app platforms. It is hard to set up series or upcoming shows. Anytime I want to review what has been recorded, it takes minutes before anything shows up in the list, if the list shows up at all. It sometimes takes several attempts. Watching or deleting an episode takes so many clicks it is easy to get lost in the layers. I guess I was spoiled with the relatively easy setup with the previous TiVo cable box. I may need to research a 3rd party box and save the mydvr fee. Not all shows are available for free on other streaming platforms.

  • Oct 2021 still buggy

    Pretty terrible streaming app. Freezes and has to be restarted frequently. Can’t use back button to leave app. Almost feels like GCI wants you to just pay for the extra data you’ll use by using streaming apps that actually work.

    Horrible user interface (using Apple TV version), rife with internal inconsistencies such as different cursor colors and selection behaviors on various screens. The service overall is slow, cumbersome, buggy. Often completely dysfunctional for hours at a time even nearly a year after it’s initial release. When it does work the image quality is poor. Perhaps excessive data compression is being employed since the data used by this app is not being counted in usage limitations. Perhaps intentionally poor in order to drive customers to better service which consume billable bandwidth.

  • Disappointing

    Yukon tv is a joke especially if your a senior going through and finding channels is hard with the remote so sensitive and having to do one channel at a time can’t record shows you did in the past. Continually licks up and has to be reset list a bunch of the channels we used to watch. Found we can download 2 other streaming revises and Disney plus for less money and get more options of what to watch than this new system has. Having been a gci customer for over 20 years we are now moving our phones and television over to other servers. Their hep with issues is a joke you call they say they’ll help then put you on hold for at least a half hour

    Try to get help they don’t give any just dodge the issues. Been told one thing then something else then something else. Obviously they are lying. They put the issues on you then tell you don’t be rude when you ask about things

  • Not senior friendly

    Not senior friendly. This app is not very friendly for seniors. Especially if you are somewhat visually impaired A far cry from GC eyes cable system unless the app is fixed for those who have vision issues I will be looking for some other source.
  • Cloud DVR recording is unreliable.

    Series recordings seem to be fine at first, but later on you find the show is dropped and under “Planned” for a particular show (nightly news) it will say “No upcoming shows available”. I frequently get the error message “ Recording was unsuccessful” for no apparent reason. There is no way to limit recording to new shows only. I’ve gotten a few shows to series record, but it seems to be hit-and-miss. Some shows I have re-recorded 10 times, to no avail, even after going through a complete reset with GCI/Yukon technical support. We’ll be shopping around for something that works.
