All it needs to be!
This is a phenomenal app that has helped me achieve my spelling goals. There is a huge variety of games that test both spelling and vocabulary. All the words from every Scripps spelling bee is documented and the lists are updated with every new spelling season. All the necessary information on a word is consolidated, so there’s no need to look up the pronunciation and etymology separately. However, there are a few minor flaws. When you complete a game, you cannot revisit your results and the ‘bees’ (points) you collect seem to have no apparent function other than to grant bragging rights. There are certain glitches as well that seem to be exclusive to the type of device you use. These include pronunciation malfunctions, skipping words when you click ‘submit’ twice, not saving past work, and not fully connecting with existing accounts when you download the app on other devices.

Great but…
So the app is great. I got really far in the bee simply because this is a great resource. However, there are some glitches that are just so annoying. First, when you click the done button on your keyboard more than once, it submits your next word and makes it wrong.
Then there’s this glitch where I go to open up the app and I can’t see the letters I’m typing. I fixed this with exiting the app and reentering but this is a minor issue that I think Scripps can fix. Last but not least, typos. Typos are annoying and I don’t have that much time so I just do it as fast as I can.
I just wish there was a mode that would help with saying the word. Ex: CAT C-A-T CAT
Sometimes I accidentally say the wrong thing so a mode to practice speaking would be great.

So when I was a fourth grader,this app helped me sooo much, I won first place on class, grade, and even the whole school! My friend said it just doesn’t work for her but I think it’s the right fit for me, so you guys might light it too! Word Club deserves a 5 star rating!🤩⭐️🐝
Word Club really help me practice my words, and accurately lets me know when I messed up! I recommend it for students that want to advance to higher rounds! I can also practice by myself, which makes easy, because I don’t have to wait for anybody. Thank you so much Word Club!😁( by the way, I think bees 🐝 should be worth something, because you can’t, purchase any thing, like new icons and stuff)

good, but can have things that could make it better.
First, the app should get a version where you can play at school, so you can learn all the words for spelling bees like kahoot or blooket.
Second, you should have a friend list/ player system for it, so you can have more fun while using the app.
Generally, the app is amazing, I am a 4th grade student who just started using the app for the national spelling bee, and i learn the words faster than i learn my spelling words by studying with the paper sheets.

I love this app! The four stars is because sometimes it doesn’t let me see the word I type. Is it supposed to be like that or is it my phone’s fault? Also, a mixed list with some words from all the lists would be great! Finally, I can’t download this app on anything other than my phone! Can you fix this or no? Thanks! Anyway, this is a great resource to use because it helps you memorize words fast and their meanings quickly! Plus, it’s free! I would definitely recommend this app!

Amazing… but can improve on some things
I love this app because it is very helpful on letting me learn new words but I wish that it could let you bookmark whatever words you want whenever. And another thing, what are the bees for? I like that you get it after your done, but I can’t buy anything with it. Also on the game where you type I don’t like how I don’t know what I typed because I got several wrong because I accidentally typed it twice. Other than that, I think it’s a great app and I really liked using it whenever I could to study.

My thoughts on the bees
What’s up Scripps, how are you doing. I want to start this review with a few comments. First of all, this app is AWESOME. I love it. I gave it 1 star to get your attention, but it is honestly the best app I have ever used for Scripps’ spelling bee. This is my second year to do it, and I am very excited about it. To everyone who is also in the spelling bee, if you face me, you will only ever get second, and that’s a promise.
So, I want to talk about the bees. I’ve read the reviews, and almost everyone agrees that there should be a use for the bees. Maybe an item shop, where you can get new avatars or new name tags like rainbows. Plus, you could also get a font for the pronunciation part of studying.
But my favorite idea is a sticker book. It’s basically an achievements book like:
