Snorefest

Firstly, what's with the itty bitty fonts? secondly this should be called an idle game given that you have to wait a damn lifetime for anything to happen.

An Extraordinary Achievement

One of the most innovative and exciting games I’ve ever played. Simply a work of art, and unbelievably beautiful at every level. I wish this genre had been popularised further after this game!

A fun game, okay app

I like this game a lot. It’s different than most and it’s very slow, but it’s an interesting ongoing story to check in with throughout the day. If that sort of game is for you and you love GoT then this is for you.

My only complaint is the UI needs some polishing, mainly the scale. It’s great on my iPad and Mac, but the text is so small on my iPhone I can barely read it. I’ve just stopped using the iOS version altogether. If they fix that it’s an easy five stars!

Masterpiece

Captures the storytelling and world of GoT but in easy to digest mobile game. Like seriously, this game design is leagues above others in the mobile space. An instant 5/5 for me and Im really hoping this team gets to make more GoT content (like maybe some King’s Landing centric tales?????)

On top of great storytelling- this is paced so well as a mobile game. I can pop on and off and because of it’s immersion thru good music, clean UI, and mobile game quest design I don’t lose my spot in the story or feel like I’ve lost what I did while away from the game.

Slow and Poorly Designed

This is typically the kind of game I enjoy, but the execution here is way off. First, there are a ton of decisions, but most are of limited variation and there is no clear consequence for choosing one over the other. Second, there is a pause between each choice, often for no reason.

The overall effect is like reading a Choose You Own Adventure book where the pages are 15 words, you are forced to wait 30-60 seconds after each choice, and the choices to you to the same page.

It’s like reading a bad book but slower and crappier.

Good game so far but requires phone update

The Dynamic Island blocks important content. That’s infuriating. The text is extremely small and doesn’t have to be, give a size option if you want. The view where you can move around and click the eyeballs for different messages is hectic, spins insanely, and uncontrollable and needs Ux fixed. All on 15pro. I’m sure it’s similar on any newer phone. Otherwise the game could be good if they put a few quality of life improvements in place.

Played for 5 minutes and now it’s stuck

I have a team digging in the ice and a team on an expedition and now nothing is happening. 5 minutes of game play seems a bit short…

Also, why is the font so small? I’m surprised Apple allowed this app with such poor accessibility into the Arcade.

Engaging and artfully designed. Desperately needs a hurry-up mode.

Engaging time-waster that’s artfully designed and engagingly written, but deperatley needs a hurry-up mode.
Players aplay mobile games to fill their time when their time is free — the game should wait on the player, not the otehr way around.

Also, story pivot points are often vaguely and imprecisely worded so that the player doesn’t know what the authors intend or mean.
This deprives the player of feeling that they have agency in decisions.
Also, often, none of the decision choices are near what any intelligent person would do.

So, overall, could use significantly better story management.

Still, it’s engaging and worth a try.

Relaxing Game, Beautiful Unique Graphics

I've only been playing this for a week, but I love it so much. It's perfect when you need a break from work, because of the idling feature you have to close it periodically anyways. It's also nice music to have on in the background if you leave it open. I which I could interact more with the maps, zoom in more, rotate around. In the wide view, it kind of jumps around a bit and it seems kinda buggy. I'd also think it'd be cool to be able to watch and zoom in more on the NPC's on their expeditions, even if it is just them slowly walking somewhere lol. It's just a relaxing game and I think they could lean into that. I'm not far in so I'm not sure how deep the decision making goes, but it's my favorite thing to play right now :)

Absolutely stunning scenery

The scenery in this game is one of the best I’ve seen in a while (for a mobile game). The game’s journey through time, and the stories to where you could choose your own path is amazing. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for an adventure.
