Won’t switch to close up camera
Won’t switch to the camera that can close focus on my iPhone 14 Pro. The closest focusing distance seems to be too far for the app to detect any pins

The app is very straightforward to use – you just open it and it’s immediately ready to scan your pins. It adds a really cool extra dimension to your collection, and it’s a great conversation piece. Looking forward to more functionality and content – hopefully for existing pins too!!

Scanned my pin with my iphone 15 and it worked great! Love the pin so far! Have been getting so many compliments!!
Pinfinity AR App.
The AR app itself is incredibly simple to use. Albeit, there does need to be ample lighting for the AR target to be captured. As far as the AR itself goes, I do wish more recent releases had more thought out animations like most older pins do. That being said, some newer pins have more interactive features than older pins such as lore along with DLC. A few pins even have functional elements such as a working D20 and a pin that is used in conjunction with a tabletop mystery game. When interacting with AR it would be neat to enable haptic feedback to enhance the experience when selecting elements of the AR. Would also love to be able to log my collection in app and even make purchases. All in all, solid app that has a lot of potential in enhancing the pin collecting experience.

as soon as i load up the app, it instantly closes

It doesn’t work on my iPhone 13 Pro or my iPhone XS. This pin series and all record of them appear to have been removed from their site, so it’s possible AR functionality for these specific pins have been deleted from their database; but I cannot confirm this because the support url included on the paper that came with them is dead, and the only other support option is in regards to a collaboration request. I tried using that anyway, and didn’t receive a response. Pinfinity seems like a very disorganized company.

Doesn’t even work
Bought three Worms pins that don’t work and they keep promising a fix for them and it’s never come
Pointless
I got a dustin pin from the stranger things store in miami. When i scanned it all i could do was move it and the only animations it had was dustin moving his mouth and not talking. Ive seen better ar mith google

App launches and immediately crashes.
Lame alert
Wow. If I want good AR I’ll go back 10 years to my 3DS. Good thing the pin I have is cool, cause this AR experience is the worst I’ve ever used.
