  • Fans of Trading Card Games will LOVE this game!

If you were ever into popular TCGs (like Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh!), CUE will easily become a favorite of yours in no-time! Whether you enjoy the collecting aspect or the gameplay strategy, the steady release of new cards daily alone ensures the game stays interesting; and with the weekly league/tournament play the game never gets boring. The best part of this game is the fact that it is NOT Pay2Play in the sense that in-app purchases are not needed at all to stay competitive (though it does effectively allow someone to “boost” their gameplay by speeding up the rate at which their collection grows, if they want to spend the money). By simply playing daily one can earn enough credits to make frequent card pack purchases, maintaining their interest as the collection grows.

My only qualm thus far regarding league play is that, with the release of certain album/collection specific cards, the variety of different decks being played has somewhat suffered. It’s a little too easy to copy a strong deck (of the few that have become standard recently) because that becomes the only deck able to compete. This minor snafu can be worked out easily however, by nerfing specific cards and possibly by dramatically increasing the arena bonuses for players to gravitate to every week. Anyway, that’s my $0.02. Try it out, you won’t regret it!

  • Fun but gets boring after about 5 total hours

Idk how you fix this but the game possesses an inherent issue to the way it’s designed. Normally a strategy game like this should depend on what your opponent is doing, hence the strategy. But in this game you will pretty much always play your deck the same way every game (and there is a “best” way to play your deck). Playing the game the same way every time is optimal especially as what your opponent is doing never changes your strategy. There are rare scenarios where your opponent makes your hand cost more which prohibits you playing certain cards but that is not significant. The only real strategy to this game is building a deck based on the weekly theme then hoping your opponent built a worse deck or that you get a better draw. My friends and I liked this game but everyone got bored fast and I belief this is the reason why.

Thank you for the considered feedback here! Really useful to get this kind of detail so thank you for that! Plenty for us to be thinking about!
  • My review

Game is ok sadly don’t see this being in paper for a few reasons. I can see this being more than just a singleton card game, I can see some different formats than just the energy system like a neo format were you can only play one type of card in your deck or album. One thing I see is that it’s harder to get the deck you want for new players and you just have to roll with the low power deck that doesn’t synergize all that well. Also like to see more dinosaur cards there is a lot of dinosaurs in real life so ya. Also something that can be looked at is the random card generator for packs I had pulled like 3-5 copy’s of a legendary but not that much of the commons so ya it was cool to get them for crafting but ya idk if that is intentional or not but ya. Also gameplay I noticed was kinda like flipping a coin.

  • I LOVE IT!

My previous review was cut short because of a crash, but to say it again, the tournaments are well timed, keeping the game fresh but still shaking things up. The game itself is great for killing time, whether you be buckling in for a long grind or just a quick check in to make trades or check your notifications. The cards themselves are fun, interesting, and endlessly variable. You get the hang of things fairly quickly, and you can have so much fun making decks! And as a free to pay player for all games, I rate this a 10/10 for free to play. Packs and gems can be obtained without spending a single cent! Largely luck-based, and the more valuable currency (gems) being entirely free to obtain in decent amounts, you can get an even better deck than someone who’s sunk money into the game. Real money only serves to hasten progress, (albeit quite a lot) but honestly you’re going to get there in the end so why not take your time? All in all it’s a fantastic game and one of the first to make me consider spending money, not because I have to but because I want to. Great job devs! Keep it up!

Well we can't really ask for more than this! So great to hear you've been enjoying our game and thrilled to hear you've been enjoying the f2p experience! Thank you so much for the kind words and the lovely review left here, will definitely be passed on for the whole team to read, so thank you!
  • Loving this game

I’ve never played a card game like this in my life and honestly this game is extremely addicting. The strategy involved is awesome for such a simple game, it’s a little overwhelming at first with all the stacking abilities of cards and everything but also not too much either after you get the hang of it, it’s a great balance. The only thing stopping this from being a 5 star game is the option to chat with friends! Doesn’t have to be everyone you play with because I know there’s bots you verse as well. Yeah sure there’s a “chat ish option” but I’m referring to a actual conversation, not just spamming 😎, 😀,and good game lol. Being able to actually TALK and hold conversation both during and outside a game to friends would absolutely take this game to a more immersive and personal level.

  • Very fun and interesting

I enjoy card games so I tried this one out and I’m loving it, I love the variety of cards and the different dynamics you can shoot for when building decks, I am not the most experienced player so I don’t have the most knowledge about this game but my biggest ask is that they keep making new cards and new ways to build decks and maybe new abilities or rules just to fully diversify the gameplay , I love magic the gathering and that game has many many many different cards and deck styles you can build whether it be offensive or defensive or from the graveyard or whatever you want to do you can, I would love to see this game accomplish the same in the future

Thanks for the 5 star review and we're thrilled to hear you're enjoying CUE! Don't you worry the cards will keep on coming through and we really want as many players as possible to get experimenting with the different decks you can play around with! Hopefully that'll be something that, very soon, you'll be able to see! Thanks again for the review!
  • Pay to Win Trash

It’s fun at first, when the game actually puts you against winnable opponents. But after a good 8 or so matches you start getting put up against opponents with 6 legendary cards in their decks. Theres this one card, Martin Luther King Jr., That costs three energy and gives off 19 power. Not too bad right? Except for the fact that this three energy card gives 20 power to every other card, including itself, that gets played. Effectively turning a “3 energy card” into a card that supplies 79 power… in other words, a card that’s stronger than every single common/rare card that’s costs under 8 energy. There’s also this stupid cat card, another legendary, that is 120 power, you’d think it would cost like 12 energy, but it only costs 8. THATS 15 POWER PER ENERGY SPENT?? Meanwhile my normal cards cost 7 energy and drop a maximum of 90 Power. And then once I play them I end up losing like 50 energy. This game forces you to pay money for legendary cards to win against other players that have a bunch of legendary cards. There’s no strategy in this game. Just pair up a couple of cards and drop a few legendaries in there and you won’t lose against anyone who hasn’t spent money on the game. Which spoiler alert, is a good 95% of the player base.

Thanks for taking the time to leave you review and feedback! There's definitely going to be a difficulty curve once you start winning games but maybe it's something that neds looking at! We like to think these cards are accessible to new players with lots of different options to earn currency through daily rewards, xp levels and quests! We're looking to give newer players more variety in terms of some decks to try out so be sure to look out for those! Thanks again for the feedback, appreciate it and it'll be passed on!
  • My favorite game, but the update ruined my favorite part of the game

So I’m pretty sure I’ve been playing CUE for over a year now, maybe two, and it has been my favorite game for a while now. I’m kind of obsessive about the deck building aspect of the game, trying to find the best combos that I have available, and making the most of them work together that I can. Well sadly in this new update, when building a deck, there’s a bug where if you accidentally click the cancel button, the deck gets deleted and usually the game freezes as well. I appreciate all the work that you guys do, and why you guys changed things in the update to make the cards smaller so you can see them all on the screen at once, but please fix this bug ASAP! I have been trying to build a new deck for hours and every time I run into this bug.

Hi Ehli Ehli! Firstly - sorry to hear you're having this issue. We've been trying to recreate this bug but we can't, and it's not something anyone has reported. What we would recommend is that you delete and reinstall the game (all your cards/data will be safe) and see if that works. If not - can you please contact cuesupport@avid.games so we can investigate further? Thanks - and good luck! 🤞🏼
  • Best Card Game on the App Store

A wonder card game with an arena mechanic that brings a fresh feel to card battle and collection. The “Tug of War” point total mechanic also adds layers. Where you can lose the battle but win the war due to the 3 turn timer per round. The micro transactions while somewhat pay to win, are relatively reasonable and you can earn all the currency in a reasonably balanced manner through video rewards and gameplay.

The only grip is that the cards themselves are boring and tend not to match in theme or style; this game would benefit hugely from a united art style rather than sometimes crude drawings, sometimes artistic representations and at other times actual photographs. It feels messy and low effort. Doesn’t affect the very solid gameplay which is most important however it does lower the polish of the game in my eyes.

  • If you didn’t know something..

C(t)U(a)E is a wonderful turn based card game where players collect in game currency to open packs containing a WIDE variety of well.. everything!! With the cards having effects to boost each other correlating with events in history, to just them having similar names, it shows the people behind this did their research and put together a masterpiece. The one thing I will say is the in game currency can sometimes seem hard to obtain but during most holidays they tend to give back to the community. Overall I’d say this game has unlimited potential as the universe is and forever will be expanding, with that more things to be discovered will always create more content for future updates. Hopefully this game can be something that I can share with my future kids!
