  • Review of CUE

Cards, the Universe, and Everything is an online Trading/Playing card game that introduces a fun and even educational twist on the mobile genre. The depth at which research goes into making this game as well as its cards allows for people to play, collect, or trade however they want without needing to worry about not leveling up or gaining currency. Speaking of currency, while I’ve been playing the game for over a few months, I have not had to spend one dollar on gaining the cards that I’ve found throughout my journey.

I’d also like to point out the ease at which new players can pick up the way games work with CUE’s excellent tutorials and fun graphics that allow the game to be more immersive and simplified for everyone to play. Even if someone wanted to play competitively, that option is provided and well organized.

I give this game a rating of 5 stars because it is a well designed game that can be fun for all sorts of people that constantly updates with new cards and new challenges. Thank you for making such a wonderful game!

  • WOW

I saw an ad for cue and was like- what??? Over 2,000 cards? Battles? Trading? Packs? Then I knew right then this was the haven for me. I love that you can get new cards hourly, trade with a big community, make friends, and literally play as a ham sandwich!! 5/5 Great Game you guys did a fantastic job I’ve got the game for 2 days and I am in love with this. It felt great to branch out from Pokémon cards and not spend too much money on this game. I usually don’t like phone apps but this one is awesome. If you’re thinking about downloading this game DO IT this will change your LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fun but Flying Cloud is BROKEN

The games super fun but don’t even bother touching ranked (Leagues) unless you have the flying cloud card. It is pretty cheap for what it does. I’ve had that card alone do over 300 damage (power?) to me in one turn. It costs FIVE. Then you combine it with other cards on top of that? A card like that shouldn’t exist in the game. 100 power PERMANENTLY added to the card just for being returned to your deck? Tuh, bffr. :|
Some options for nerfs that I would recommend for the card:
    1. Just lower the power gained to like 50 or so.
    2. Keep power gained at 100 but make it cost more and/or make it only activate if you win the turn.
    3. Lower power gained to 25 but make it 0 cost or 1 cost.
I don’t know. Something like that? Maybe the last one is too weak but the card right now is just insanely broken. I don’t want the card and I don’t have it so everyone I fight who has it just automatically wins. What’s the point in playing if I am just guaranteed to lose against that card?

To put it into perspective some more. I fought a guy 3 times in League matches. (Not in a row, I just recognized his name and it was over the span of 2 days.) The first two matches, he didn’t have the card, I won but it was a close game both times and felt really fair. Then out of nowhere I fight him a third time and he just kept spamming Flying Cloud every time it appeared in his hand. He did 500+ to me in one turn when I had a lead. Please tell me that’s fair. Like seriously.

  • One of the best card games out there.

If you’re scrolling the reviews to see if you should try CUE out, take this as your sign, try it out.
Absolutely incredible card game, very very fun and interesting. While you can buy packs, gems, etc. it’s not really necessary. Play games, do your quests, spin your wheel and enjoy yourself.
Casual play and League play are both very fun in their own rights and the every-changing League keeps things interesting and ensures that even if the current week has bonuses that you have no cards for, you can just play casual and wait a week for it to change.
League play (and even casual sometimes) may feel pretty daunting and until you build up your card collection and deck-build some good/fun decks, it may feel like the people you’re up against can sometimes pull out incredible combos that are unbeatable.
Trust me, take your time, collect different cards or packs (or focus on a specific interest, such a the Dog cards for me) and eventually you’ll be making some incredibly fun deck that you’ll be proud of!
    Have fun!

  • Really good game

A really good, balanced card game. This game has a lot of cards to collect with different abilities and is well balanced. Definitely worth downloading if you are a fan of any care battle/collection games. Trading is a bit slow but can get cards you need with enough effort. I havent spent any money and have multiple rare cards by just playing to earn coins and gems which buy you packs. The store has all kinds of different types of packs that change daily to weekly. Also gives you free packs here and there with a chance at really good cards. All in all, a fantastic game that I recommend to anyone thats a fan of the genre.

  • Best Card type game i've played!

I've tried a few Card-Battle type apps over time, and CUE is by far one of the most entertaining AND legitimately informative game on the app store. There's a staggering amount of cards, all with factual interesting information about the card on the back, the artwork is really fantastic and nice to look at.
The variety of cards is also very impressive, there is a vast number of cards and the majority have unique effects, so no two cards are quite the same which leads to an almost limitless variety of decks that can be built.

My only critique, if any, would be to add a mode where you can have larger decks perhaps?
Also, i'd like to see the UI for building decks refined somehow, with the absolutely staggering amount of cards, it can be difficult to create a deck while remembering which cards you have, or which ones fit under 'X' category etc. Maybe some way to tell if a card can be effected by another, or like if they are in the same "family" of cards, since there is so many categories.

Overall fantastic game, no NEED to spend money to progress, you can certainly succeed without it, but should you choose to do so, i believe the market is fairly priced and you receive an adequate reward for doing so.
    9.9/10

the ' .1 ' is only because the deck creation can be a bit overwhelming when you have a good number of cards, and only grows as you gain more cards.

  • Cool card game but…

It’s a good game. The trading system is nice and so is the community. The only real problem I have with it is that the gameplay feels a bit too linear and it gets a bit boring quickly. I understand that the dev team is pretty small but after a week I’ve been focused way more on trading and I’ve enjoyed it much more than the actual game.

Overall I think it’s a 5/5 if you’re just looking to trade and don’t really mind the gameplay that gets dull quickly. Otherwise it’s a solid 4/5 from me.

  • Fun game with lots to do

Reminds me of late 90s pokemon with collecting and opening packs. This is even better though because all cards are based on real life events / things / topics that you can read about on the backs. Building decks calls for creativity and is rewarding when you put a good one together. There’s also special crafted cards you can make by following and connecting clues that have been placed on the backs of select cards. Loads of fun.

  • Great game

I saw this game in ads but never downloaded it until my brother reccomended it for me. It is the most fun stratagy game and there are so many cards and it is not a pay to play win game. This game does need a few tweks such as card sorting, I have a lot of cards, and I would like it if it had a sorting option for combo cards, and more discriptive card abulity types, such as instead on energy based, make it it gives yiu energy or it take away your wnergy. Stuff like that. Still all very minor details, which are not detrimental to the game just makes it a little longer to make decks and find your cards you want. All in all, great game and if you are reading this review I think that you should definitly download this game.

  • Fun game, free to play friendly

When I was younger I used to collect Pokémon cards. I never actually played the card game but it was fun just having them. This is pretty much like that. The deck building is pretty good as well, you can make some pretty strong decks from just standard cards if you have big brain. Matchmaking is still kind of random, some weeks it is hard and others it is easy. Don’t feel sad if you don’t get a card you want cause ultimately nothing matters ever since the start of July 2022. I have reached nirvana
