Simply does not work
The WiFi name is wrong in the app. It starts with “net_ac” with password 12345678. Once you connect, it fails to load the AC unit in the app.
Total garbage. This app should be removed from the App Store since it doesn’t work and haven’t been updated in a long time.

15yrs in the IT field and....
I can say without hesitation this is the worst smart home app I’ve ever suffered through.
1. During the setup process they don’t bother including/mentioning the password for the built-in hotspot. 12345678 for those wondering.
2. It’s limited to 2.4GHz
3. For 1hr I’ve been battling this thing and the app can’t find the AC unit even though my phone is connected to the built-in hotspot.
4. The QR codes on the unit don’t work.
5. Utterly devoid any level of decent Ui.
Aside from that, the AC unit itself is fantastic! But this app is a complete waste of time, save yourself the frustration and don’t bother with it.

Has potential but needs work
Of all the smart home apps I’ve used this one would have been a game changer if it actually worked as it was intended. Sadly the app has a long way to go before it sees its full potential.
That being said, if you have Danby device and don’t care if it’s manned by Alexa or Google Voice I highly recommend using the alternative Danby App for WiFi connected devices.
